About this listen

Wyoming game warden Joe Pickett faces two different kinds of raging beasts—one animal, one human—in this riveting new novel from #1 New York Times bestseller C. J. Box.

A rogue grizzly bear has gone on a rampage—killing, among others, the potential fiancé of Joe’s daughter.

At the same time, Dallas Cates, whom Joe helped lock up years ago, is released from prison with a special list tattooed on his skin. He wants revenge on the people who sent him away: the six people he blames for the deaths of his entire family and the loss of his reputation and property.

Using the grizzly attacks as cover, Cates sets out to methodically check off his list.

The problem is, both Nate Romanowski and Joe Pickett are on it.

Descriptive, yet lacking

I love listening to David Chandler read these C.J. Box stories. The storyline seemed too far out of reality to keep me on the edge of my seat, like so many Pickett novels do for me. I mean, did NOBODY wonder how to explain the time/distance? Come on, Man! Still, Box's descriptive writing and Chandler's voice, I would listen to it again.

Back to the regular scheduled greatness

I just want to be clear. this is a great book. and I can't stress that enough. I wasn't crazily impressed with the last one. and was worried about the future of this series. But this definitely made up for it 100%

One of CJ Box’s most suspenseful

Lots of twists in this story, plus the typical cliffhanger to carry to next story

What stood out most? Don’t poke a bear

What did I like? All of it. If I had to choose between Nate or a Grizzly. I think I would take my chances against the Bear

Another good Joe Pickett story

I have read all of the Joe Pickett series and have really enjoyed it. The author always has great characters, storyline, and always suspense that keeps going until the end of the book. Enjoyed the narrator very much as he really portrayed the characters well.

New Favorite Joe Pickett!

Having read and loved all 24(!) of the Joe Pickett books, it's hard to determine a favorite. Until this latest addition to the series. This is at once quintessential Joe and yet entirely fresh and exciting as Joe deals with the biggest, baddest 4-legged predator yet. Damn.

There's serious intensity here, starting with a high-charged chapter one and following through to the end. But there are also all the other things fans of this series have come to expect: the unswerving nature of Joe, the extremes of Nate, the steady strength of Marybeth, and just the right amount of humor to keep this story on an even keel.

C.J. Box has never disappointed with this series, and the narration by David Chandler remains stellar. If you have not yet experienced the unfailing Wyoming Game Warden known as Joe Pickett, this is the book to pick up. While it eludes to past events, it can be read as a stand-alone. Trust me, once you discover this man of strength, logic, wits, and gut you'll want more. Fans of the series as well as those who enjoy action, suspense, and outdoor adventures with rich characters that are at once genuine and larger than life will find "Three-Inch Teeth" unputdownable.

Loved it

Loved the story line, creepy epeople over and the Pockettfamily shines again. I feel so sorry for Nate, I hope he never finds the last person.
