No Place Like Home

This is such a sweet read. A runaway bride runs to where she knows she’ll be safe, shielded and to her first love. The banter between Luke and Laina is spot on. Laina gives up the limelight to realize that there’s no place like home. This story is a small town, second chance romance.

Slow burn but quick capture of your heart

This slow burn second chance romance was such a great read. Laina and Luke were brought to life by the narrators showing us that regardless of how long it’s been true love will conquer all. Laina is made her decision to leave her fiancée at the alter only to find herself going to her safe space ( her ex-boyfriend). Luke struggles to decide how he should handle his feelings for Laina. Both have desires, both unsure how to act on them. While life maybe making this navigation difficult the two are determined to find their way back together and remain that way. The narration was amazing allowing me to submerse myself into the story and the characters. Wonderful job.

True love

Loved this small town, second chance love story. Laing is a pop star and runaway bride who chooses to hide from the media at her ex boyfriend home. Loved the banter and small town family. Once again A Locke creates a family you want to be part of. Loved this story when I read it, was lucky enough to get to listen as well and it really brought these characters to life.

Fabulous Story & Listen🎧Riveting & Heartwarming!

Adriana Locke does it again and pens another amazing romance novel set in her “Marshall Family” series, a heartwarming standalone novel that not only captivated my attention the entire time, but tugged at my heartstrings, too. It is popstar sensation Laina Kelley’s wedding day, and she is all dressed up and ready to go, except the only place she wants to go is far away because she realizes she does not want to marry her fiancé, Hollywood heart throb, Tom Waverly. She calls her best friend Stephanie, who helps arrange her get-away car and driver, Troy Castelli of Landry Security. Not sure where she can run too without being recognized, an idea popped into her head, and that is how she winds up going to Peachwood Falls to visit her first love, Luke Marshall. Finding Laina in his home surprised Luke, but it was a welcomed surprise and he was on board with keeping her hidden and safe, and for Laina, she felt like she was home again. I absolutely adored these two, and it was great to watch them get reacquainted, and it was clear they had unresolved feelings for each other and the chemistry between them never sizzled out. This wonderfully written and plotted story has the perfect balance of drama, charming and heartwarming moments, humorous banter amongst the Marshalls, heartfelt emotions, and steamy romance. Adriana Locke, thank you for another fabulous story and emotional rollercoaster ride.

🎧📚🎧 Shiloh James and Lance Greenfield did a fabulous job bringing these characters to life, humanizing them with their personality, and giving each a voice that was fitting. James’ portrayal of Laina was perfection, taking the role and making it her own, and Greenfield did the same and was just as amazing in his role as Luke. Both were fantastic performing the roles of the secondary characters and were believable in every role they played. They set the perfect tone for the story, captured all the characters’ emotions and had you feeling every single one. These two are entertaining storytellers and their performance elevates this already amazing story to another level. Thank you for another wonderful listen.

sweet second chance story

I'm always up for a second chance romance since that's one of my all time favorite tropes. I really enjoyed this one. I loved getting to see Laina and Luke rekindle what they had before. I was rooting for them to be able to work things out so they could be together.

This was my first time listening to both of these narrators. They were nice to listen to, but I just wish that they both had changed their voice a little more to differentiate between characters. Sometimes they seemed to blend together so it was hard at times to tell who was supposed to be speaking.

Super cute Small Town Romance

This much is true is a quick and easy read that will have you laughing out loud. This much is true is a super cute second chance romance, about a runaway bride who goes to the once place she feels safe and away from the media. Her first loves house. She had cute all ties with him to pursue her music career. Now hiding from the world they are forced to rehash the past and all those unresolved feelings. if there is one thing Adriana know how to do its a small town romance! I wasn't a huge fan of the female narrator but overall the book was really good!

Small Town Listen

I really enjoyed this book by Adriana. She writes good small-town romance that will make you smile and love the characters. Second chance is one of my favorites to read.

Laina and Luke have that big love that you dream of. And when their lives collide again, sparks fly. She is hiding out from her in the spotlight life. He is working hard and living his life.
This audio was a really good listen. I liked the narrators and they way they flowed through this story. This is my first listen to Shiloh James, and I loved her. The way she does the male voice in her chapters is the best.
Lance Greenfield is one that I have listened to many times and always enjoy his smooth voice.

All and all, this story and audio are really good. It is not a long listen, and you will stay interested in the story the entire time.

Cute and Sweet with a punch!!

I loved This Much Is True. The emotions were at the forefront for me while listening. I felt them in a more vivid way than when I read it previously. Kudos to the narrators for not only bringing the emotions to life but also these characters and their story. This was my first time listening to both of these narrators. I must say they did a good job and I enjoyed listening to them. It was still very much a lighthearted, cute, sweet and steamy read but with an emotional punch. I adored that aspect of it. I loved the way this book made me feel. It left me with a smile. I'm so looking forward to listening to the next book in this series. I definitely recommend it.

Small Town, Second Chance Romance at Its Best

I think every new release by Adriana Locke becomes an instant favorite of mine. This Much Is True is sweet and swoony but with some phenomenally heated chemistry, and I couldn't get enough of Luke and Laina. This is one of the most beautifully well done second chance romances I've ever had the pleasure of reading.

Luke and Laina's story begins when she flees her own wedding right before she's set to marry the wrong man, and she finds herself back to where things feel right: her ex's house. From there, we get to see them find their way back to each other, which was such a gripping journey. I loved every bit of this storyline with its equally charming and emotional moments. The characters are perfection, too. Laina was such a likeable character, and despite her being famous, she's so genuine and sweet. And then there's Luke, and he couldn't be more swoon worthy. He's somehow definitely hot but also really cute at the same time all the while being a good man. Together, they completely work, and I loved how their story played out.

Also, I listened to the audiobook, and I loved how Luke and Laina were acted out by Lance Greenfield and Shiloh James. They truly bring such life to the book, and I could feel the emotions the characters felt. Plus, the funny moments were made even funnier with their deliveries, especially Lance when he finds Laina in his home.

If you love small town, second-chance romance, you do not want to miss This Much Is True. I fell in love with this book right away, and I highly recommend it. It's sweet but has spice and drama, and I couldn't get enough.

Laina and Luke were meant to be!

I knew this book would be good from chapter 1! I love a runaway bride story! Second chance romances always warm my heart and this story was no different. The banter these two had was so much fun! Laina and Luke were always meant to be together.

The audio is narrated by Shiloh James and Lance Greenfield who are both new to me narrators. They were wonderful as Laina and Luke!

This Much is True is the second book in the Marshall Family Series and can be read as a standalone. I have not read the first book yet but I am adding it to my TBR!

Read if you love:
- small town
- second chance romance
- runaway bride
- found family
- country boy x city girl
- only one bed
- low angst
