Time is a resource. Everyone knows it has to be managed. And on Discworld, that is the job of the Monks of History, who store it and pump it from the places where it's wasted (like underwater; how much time does a codfish need?) to places like cities, where there's never enough time.

As far as the Pratchett narrators go, I am a HUGE Stephen Briggs fan, so getting a Tony Robinson one almost felt disloyal. I was also wary of getting the abridged version. But I wasn't disappointed! Of course the story was as wonderful, hilarious and cunning as only Pratchett can be, and the abridged version of this makes it perfect for car trips with kids or just yourself. Tony Robinson definitely has a much different narrating style to Briggs, which isn't bad, just took awhile to get used to. Overall really glad I bought this!! :)
