About this listen

The world ends in four months. Alessandra can stop it - but she can't do it alone.

The mind of Alessandra, the Oracle of Delphi, is under the control of the Supreme Magistrate, a brilliant politician determined to use her goddess-like powers to conquer deities and humans alike. With her thoughts and powers compromised, she begins to question her ability to stop the apocalyptic future revealed to her in cryptic visions - and who her enemy really is.

Outside of Washington, DC, the fight for survival hinders the Silent Queen's ability to launch her attack against the political elite and the gods as quickly as planned. An unlikely ally saves her life - but it's the emergence of the Bloodline's hereditary curse that warns her she may not survive long enough to start the war she's spent her life preparing for.

The Grotesque Prince, Adonis, has spent his life being defined by others. On a journey of self-discovery mandated by the goddess Artemis, he returns to the lands he once ruled, four thousand years ago. Instead of uncovering the object Artemis tasked him to find, Adonis' quest leads him to a mysterious figure possessed by much more than answers.

What a ride!

My main issue with this audiobook is that it ended. Coming into this after hearing Omega, it was like getting to see friends again- friends who you are not sure of their motivations, but none-the-less friends. There is so much that happens in this book I wish I could talk about but I fear spoilers. I will say I really enjoyed Adonis and his quest to find the plaque. It was this off moment of quiet that makes you love him more. I can honestly say I have no idea where the next novel will go but dang can I not wait! The narration was out of this park. She juggles so many different character voices and sometime people within people- it is pretty darn spectacular.

Definitely unique

Another YA where the fate of the world is in the teens' hands but even though the trope isn't unique the world LF has built is. I've read lots of genre books and this duet is genuinely unique and worth the read. More political intrigue grounded in the greek goods mythology and humans. Who will win?
But.... just so you know, this was written in 2016 and ends on a cliffy - I'm writing this review in 2023 and no book 3 yet 🤔

I loved this story

Any additional comments?

I am a huge fan of Greek Mythology and Lizzy Ford. This story pick up where Omega ended so I would highly suggest reading Omega before reading Theta. This is a fast paced and at times intense read. The narrator did an amazing job with the voices and pace of the read. All of the characters are well developed and add to the story. If you're looking for a book that can take you into the world of Greek Mythology and on a great adventure then this is the book for you. I highly recommend this book

Fantastic

What did you love best about Theta?

This book was fantastic. The narrator had me so drawn in. I wasn't sure how I'd like a female narrator through out the whole book but I feel in love with her.
