About this listen

Welcome to Nocturne Falls, the town that celebrates Halloween 365 days a year. The tourists think it's all a show: the vampires, the werewolves, the witches, the occasional gargoyle flying through the sky. But the supernaturals populating the town know better.

Living in Nocturne Falls means being yourself. Fangs, fur, and all.

When a spell goes wrong on the night of Samhain for witch Corette Williams, her only hope is the man she loves, Bartholomew Stanhill. But time is running out. As the clock ticks toward midnight on Halloween, they grow closer to the moment when magic will erase him from her mind. Can Stanhill become Corette's Halloween hero?

Tired of listening to stories about humans? Consider the werewolf! Taking various forms over the course of centuries and mythologies, often as flesh-devourers, werewolves now commonly appear in fantasy and romance novels as shape-shifters. The shape-shifting element in werewolves' stories has almost humanized them, depicting the internal struggles we all face within ourselves, on some level or another.

Loved it

Stanhil has been a fixture in these novels and I absolutely loved seeing him get his happy ending along with Corette. Such a beautiful novella.

I love this series

The author is very talented. The stories are just fun. I love the humor that is used along with no bad language or sex scenes. Not that there is anything wrong with that but its nice to just be entertained.

Cute short for Halloween

A fast little story that didn't require you to know any of the other stories prior to this regarding Nocturne Falls. B.J. Harrison did a great job as always bringing the story to life

Short and Sweet!

This short story is a nice addition and lends insight to the daily life of the Nocturne Falls Vampire brothers and their households. You can read this book alone or as part of the series the author does a nice job of providing enough backstory the reader isn't lost. The way the curse is broken is a little confusing but overall the story is a quick read leaving your heart happy with the ending for these two souls.

Really short. Seems a little bit unfinished.

If you read the other Nocturne Falls stories you might be able to see where it goes between the others. However it doesn't impress on it's own.

Talk about tugging at the heart strings

Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?

Of course... I gave it 5 stars didn't I, if that doesn't mean I'd recommend it I don't know what does!

Why? Because it' a wonderful addition to the books in the Nocturne Falls universe and I've loved every book in it so far.

What does B. J. Harrison bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

B.J. Harrison is the voice of this series, I can't imagine hearing anyone else narrate it.

He has such a lovely clear, smooth voice and the story just seems to flow so beautifully when he reads it. I would try anything he narrates even if it's a genre I don't normally listen to.

Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?

The last scene by the fountain, oh my goodness, I thought I was going to cry, if I hadn't been grocery shopping at the time I might have.

Any additional comments?

This series is designed to be listened to in order. While any of the books would be fabulous on it's own, later books have spoilers for earlier books, so I recommend starting with book 1 - and then listening to the whole series :-)
