Publisher's summary

An epic new fantasy romance from New York Times and USA Today best-selling author C. L. Wilson.

After three long years of war, starkly handsome Wynter Atrialan will have his vengeance on Summerlea's king by taking one of the man's beautiful, beloved daughters as his bride. But though peace is finally at hand, Wynter's battle with the Ice Heart, the dread power he embraced to avenge his brother's death, rages on.

Khamsin Coruscate, Princess of Summerlea and summoner of Storms, has spent her life exiled to the shadows of her father's palace. Reviled by her father, marriage to Wintercraig's icy king was supposed to be a terrible punishment, but instead offers Kham her first taste of freedom - and her first taste of overwhelming passion.

As fierce, indomitable Wynter weathers even Khamsin's wildest storms, surprising her with a tenderness she never expected, Kham wants more than Wynter's passion - she yearns for his love. But the power of the Ice Heart is growing, dangerous forces are gathering, and a devastating betrayal puts Khamsin and Wynter to the ultimate test.

Good!

A good fantasy romance with likeable characters and some sexual tension and deep emotion. But... the lack of trust throughout the ENTIRE book got old by the end.

Amazing!! GET THIS ONE!!

I’ve heard that this author inspires Sarah Maas so I thought I’d give it a try. Great strong main characters ! Great world building! Smart story and SPICY!!! Whew! Slow but spicy burn! The only thing I didn’t really like was the accent of the narrator when she spoke for the winter clan.

Enchanting

It was so surprisingly phenomenal. I’ve read epic, dark, and romance fantasy and this one had elements of each. I can’t wait to read the rest. The narrator was engaging as well!

The cover is cheesy but the inside is steamy!

DONT JUDGE THIS BOOK BY THE COVER

Honey, you can tell that Wynter Atrialan was written by a woman because he is PERFECTION! We don’t get many blonde haired bois in fantasy and it’s just honestly not fair because I mean who doesn’t love a beefy brutish ken doll?

Beautifully narrated by Heather Wilds, we meet “Storm” (Khamsin) who has a Cinderella type story where her father locks her away from the world. She meets Wyn and, I won’t spoil it but our girl finally gets to begin LIVING.

The spice? From the first chapter we get it. It remains steady throughout the novel, somehow being both descriptive and classy at the same time.

The fantasy? Low fantasy with weather mages. Easy to understand world building and the forefront of the plot is the romance, luckily the inevitable war that you get in every fantasy is the subplot of this story.

The literal only complaint I have is that I WANT MORE!
