Publisher's summary

Victoria Barnett has it all: a great career as a nurse practitioner, a handsome and loving husband, a beautiful home in the suburbs, and a plan to fill it with children. Life is perfect—or so it seems. Then she’s in a terrible accident...and everything falls apart. Now Victoria is unable to walk. She can’t feed or dress herself. She can’t even speak. She is confined to the top floor of her house with 24-hour care.

Sylvia Robinson is hired by Victoria’s husband to help care for her. But it turns out Victoria isn’t as impaired as Sylvia was led to believe. There’s a story Victoria desperately wants to tell...if only she could get the words out. Then Sylvia discovers Victoria’s diary hidden away in a drawer. And what’s inside is shocking.

Very good story

I enjoyed this book a lot. I will say however, at times I was annoyed that the women in the story were portrayed as being smart but made such stupid decisions.

Enough about Adam….

Only saving grace was the ending. Decent twist but to get there was redundant. Always about how handsome and charming Adam is … we get it. Move on with the plot. Sylvia was annoying to me. I paid for it, so I finished it.

OH MY!!!

The narration, the story, the deceit, the stress I endured. lol. This is one I drove home the long long way, just to listen more. I am one that always figures out the plot. WELP, Not with Freida and definitely not this book. Top 10.

Very Familiar

Sounds a lot like Verity by Colleen Hoover. I'm not sure which was written first but they feel so similar.

I can’t stand the narrator’s voice

I have never been annoyed by a voice before but the woman reading the book has the most annoying voice I’ve ever heard in my entire life. I had to stop listening and get the text version. She tries to make her voice sound sweet or something but she sounds whiny and exaggerated, and it’s intolerable.
