About this listen
A lonely wedding chapel built as a tribute to lost love just might hold the long-awaited secret to hope and reconciliation.
For 60 years, the wedding chapel has stood silent and empty. Retired football hall-of-famer Jimmy "Coach" Westbrook built the chapel by hand, stone by stone, for his beautiful and beloved Collette Greer, whom he lost so many years ago. The chapel is a sanctuary for his memories, a monument to true love, and a testament to his survival of the deepest pain and loss.
Photographer Taylor Branson left her hometown of Heart's Bend, Tennessee, to make a new life for herself in New York. Taylor had lots to run away from, not least of all a family history of broken promises and broken dreams. Love catches Taylor off guard when she falls for Jack Forester, a successful advertising executive, and their whirlwind romance leads to an elopement - and then to second guesses. Jack, in spite of his very real love for Taylor, is battling his own demons and struggles to show her his true self and the depths of his love for her.
When Taylor takes a photography assignment in Heart's Bend, she is thrown back into her own past and encounters family secrets buried deep beneath the sands of time. And when Taylor and Coach's journeys collide, they both rediscover the heartbeats of their own dreams as they learn that the love they long to hold is well worth waiting for.

Story
When Chloe is given a peek at the script for an epic love story, she decides to take her destiny into her own hands and request an audition for the lead female role, Esther Kingsley. The compelling tale, inspired by family lore and a one-page letter from the colonial ancestor of scriptwriter Jesse Gates, just might break her out of this career-crippling rut. Jesse would rather write about romance than live through it after his past relationship ended in disaster. But once on-set together, the chemistry between Jesse and his leading lady is hard to deny.

Story
Brett Bohlinger has forgotten all about the list of life goals she’d written as a naïve teenager. In fact, at 34, Brett seems to have it all—a plum job at her family’s multimillion-dollar company and a spacious loft with her irresistibly handsome boyfriend. But when her beloved mother, Elizabeth, passes away, Brett’s world is turned upside down. Rather than simply naming her daughter the new CEO of Bohlinger Cosmetics, Elizabeth’s will comes with one big stipulation: Brett must fulfill the list of childhood dreams she made so long ago.

Story
After a tornado rips through her town, store owner Abigail comes across a piece of fabric from a wedding dress among the devastation.

Such a Special story!
This book is so very special. I loved the different time periods. Jack and Taylor loved each other but didn't know how to communicate that. Jimmy and Colette loved each other but believed each had let go of that love for reasons I cannot share without spoiling the story.
With the whoosh, thump heartbeat of God connecting them, each couple found truth, grace, and love.
The narration was excellent!

Disappointing narrator
Great story; disappointing narrator.
This is an intriguing story with lots of great characters. If only they had unique and fitting voices.
When we pay for a book, we really expect it to be performed skillfully. While Windy is a nice reader, she does not use different voices for the characters, nor give them the accents of their countries of origin, even when they're young adults and just arrived shortly before. The acting had little effort put toward it. Very disappointing. I often couldn't tell which character was speaking! Takes much of the enjoyment out of it.
Rachel Hauck deserves better narrators, as do we!

I wish I could give it more stars!!
I don't easily give 5-star ratings, but I could give this one 6 stars! :) This book has everything that I love .... a Christian message, romance, drama, surprises, small towns. The only thing lacking in this book is pictures! I would love to see the wedding chapel. I highly recommend this book and offer many thanks to Rachel Hauck for bringing us this story! As for the narration, I liked the narrator's voice, but she didn't make changes for the characters. It was often hard to tell who was speaking. Also, for Peg and Collette, she should have used a British accent. After all, they were from England!
