The magic flames are raging. Blades are melting. Souls are reduced to ashes in the fury of battle. The grand finale of the war for the First Temple is upon us. The last trump cards have been played, the reserves are all exhausted, and even the gods have engaged in the plebeian fight.
The universe is on the point of collapse. Broken are the chains that hold the worlds together. The icy waters of the Baltic cool the scorching sands of the Frontier. The creatures of AlterWorld spill the first blood on the quiet streets of Earth's cities.
What will Max do? Become embittered and butcher his enemies? Seize the deserted castles and abandoned lands? Attempt to save the one who had given her life defending him? Or try to win the jackpot by finding a way home, back to Earth?

LitRPG means Literary Role Playing Game. Simply put, it’s the book version of watching someone play a video game, usually one that’s set up like an MMO (massively multiplayer online) RPG. It’s a blend of sci-fi and fantasy, depending on how it comes to be that our main character ends up living inside a virtual reality. the point of LitRPG is not how we get there, but that we get to be in this virtual reality period, living life as a badass video-game character. Beat the grind and submerse yourself in these addictive LitRPGs.

Would you listen to The War again? Why?
Overall, I really enjoy this book series, but the translation seems to be poor. The story progression is good and the character development as well. The mixture between Tigress and Bagheera was upsetting.
Like what some one said "Bagheera was the pet, not Tigress. That's a pretty big plot point to miss from the previous books."Bagheera played a huge part, and got the nickname the black death. How the mix up?
Also, how did the book series went from trying to escape the government for freedom, to America becoming the enemy?
Incorrect Pet Names

However, in this book, as the title suggests, the author tries to portray a war. He doesn’t quite pull it off. The storyline is choppy, disconnected and confusing. He also forgets many things from his previous works, so if you are reading this as part of a binge you will note that some mistakes are made. Such as which cat is actually his pet.
The narrator does a solid job, but does not have much range of characters and has a hard time with some of the special sections. It does not help the enjoyment of the material.
All in all, it is a solid effort, but it just isn’t quite written or performed at the level it should be.

I already regret that this will end, but I intend to squeeze every last bit of raw emotion out of it.

When Max first made Bagheera, he was a zombie panther, who then went perma. When Bagheera left Max, it was to walk off with the black sabertooth like boss monster in the forgotten city temple in the Asian cluster. He ended up calling the boss Tigress in their parting, later remarking on his naming her possibly granting her perma status as well.
Now here we are with the pets again and Max is calling Tigress his old pet, as she jumps around using Bagheera's old abilities, and calling Bagheera the former boss mob. It was so jarring, like walking into your parents house only for them to act like your mom and dad had switched rolls.
I know this is more of a rant than anything, but I hope there is either an explanation in the later books or this huge editing error is somehow amended.
Still really enjoy the series.
