About this listen

Some people were easy to find. Others took hunting and patience. The most difficult was a target who knew she was coming, and he knew.

How could he not? When you backed a predator into a corner, when you took and destroyed all that she loved, when you made a game of ruining lives and sadism for you was sport, but then you failed to kill the predator: You’d better know she was coming back. This was an inviolable law. She wasn’t dead, and so she was coming for him. She had his face, had the name of a city. In the right hands, anything could be mined into so much more. She would find him. Kill him. Simple as that.

Waiting His Next Book

Again Taylor Stevens has brought the story to life. Keep writing and I will continue to read her adventures.

Least favorite of her books so far

This is a short story with only one character involved. Not as exciting as her other books. Very simple storyline

Great Monroe Novella

Continues the Vanessa Monroe mythos perfectly. Loved the tie-in with The Doll and provides a very satisfying outcome for the Doll-Maker

Narrator performance was superb as with all the Monroe audios and adds greatly to the overall enjoyment of the listening experience.

A Wildly Enjoyable Story and Great Performance

What did you like best about this story?

Tightly written, fast paced story with an immencely satisfying ending.

Which character – as performed by Hillary Huber – was your favorite?

THE VESSEL is a single point of view character, and Hillary Huber's performance of Vanessa Michael Munroe was spot on.

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

I listen while driving and constantly found myself sitting in the car, unwilling to leave to leave the story, when I arrived at my destination. I wish I could have listened to the entire thing in one sitting.

Any additional comments?

Hillary Huber's portrayal of Vanessa Michael Munore, in this book, and every book in the series, is richly nuanced and extremely well done.

Karma's a bitch😃

As alway, excellent reader. the story was good. Not as good as the full stories. I had hoped for one of the outcomes to be different, but that said, the end was just fine with me!

Sequel to The Doll - Perfect

I was still in the middle of reading the hardcopy of The Doll when I thought I would listen to this. I didn't have to finish The Doll as the first few chapters wrap up what happened in that book - this wasn't a bad thing. Nice novella although it is eight hours long. Love Taylor Stevens!

Waste of Time

Little to no character development. I have enjoyed previous Vanessa Michael Monroe books but this is not one of the best.

Couldn't Get Into It

I'm a huge fan of books with strong female characters and I was intrigued by this one and by the 1.95 price. Unfortunately the story just never grabbed me and when I was finished I couldn't recall that much about it. Still at the price it's worth taking the risk on.
