About this listen

Amanda Storey was sent by her company to a tiny rural town to convince the community that having a chain mega-supermarket built there would be a boon to their economy and job market.

She never showed up for the town hall meeting, even though the company insists she was scheduled to be there. The motor inn where she had reservations claimed she never checked in, and police have not found any trace of her body or her car.

This is what really happened.

The sachet

Amanda drove to a small town in preparation for a town hall for a store her company wants to build. When she arrives, she finds that her hotel resevation was given away. She was told of a bed and breakfast nearby. She goes there and is given a sachet when she checks in. Something strange happens to the water in the tub. Interesting short story.

Linda Mooney did a good job with the narration. I was given this free copy audiobook at my request and have voluntarily left this review.

Creepy erotic fun

The Tub definitely makes me happy I take showers. This is one book that will definitely make you think twice about getting into a bathtub. The storyline was spectacular and the characters quirky. I only have one thing to say don't mess with people in small towns. I highly recommend this short story but it may give you a few nightmares. I received this book at my request and I am voluntarily leaving my honest opinion here. Do not miss this naughty erotic freaky tale.

Fun Short Horror Story

I wasn't quite sure where the book was leading me at first, but once I was on board, I was all in.. It is broken into two parts, with the first one establishing the plot and setting up the characters. The second part is where all the action, pun intended, and fun are. The story as a whole was quite unique and I definitely will stick to showers over tubs. Linda Mooney did an excellent job with the narration. She really breathed life into the story.

I was voluntarily provided this free review copy audiobook by the author, narrator, or publisher.

Great short story

The Narrator was great. Interesting short story, twist I haven't seen or heard a lot. Easy to listen to, enough details to engage in story, but not too much to distract in short period of time.

The Tub

I don't enjoy erotica, especially mixed in with horror. I loved how the story ended and I am really glad it was short because I would not have finished if it was much longer. It was not ground-breaking, but it wasn't written poorly so I can't say it was terrible... just not my kind of read.

Short but intense.

Had some questions at the end. But nice setup and quick for things to go south. Linda did a great job narrating.

not my favorite

I think the horror element wasn't strong enough. it was a little bit too sexual in my opinion.

Good short listen

This short story is pretty good. I enjoyed it and recommend it. It isn’t your run of the mill horror story. There is quite a bit of sexual talk so avoid it if that offends you.

A nice little erotic revenge horror short story

This little ditty reminds of a story you'd find in an anthology book of great horror authors. It's basically a "what happens when a big corporation sends a delegate to the small town they want to build in?". Well they seek revenge of course and maybe send you to your grave with a smile on your face because that's what small town hospitality is all about of course.
If you're just needing a small dark bite of a short story, maybe while waiting for the kids or the doctor, give this one a try.

Slow

This was just not for me. I listened for 10 minutes and just couldn't get into the story.
