A Bible for Critical Thinking

In "The Truth Detective," Alex O'Brien presents a compelling exploration of the art and science of deception, particularly as it relates to the game of poker. Drawing on a wide range of sources and case studies, O'Brien offers a fascinating and insightful journey into the minds of truth seekers and liars alike, with a particular focus on how these skills are used in the context of poker.

O'Brien's writing is clear, concise, and engaging. She has a knack for explaining complex concepts in a way that is both accessible and thought-provoking. The book is full of fascinating anecdotes and stories about deception, which help to illustrate the points O'Brien is making.

O'Brien's book is a must-read for anyone who is interested in business, negotiation, risk-taking and the psychology of deception and its role in our daily lives, particularly in the context of poker. "The Truth Detective" is a thought-provoking and engaging exploration of the many ways we deceive ourselves and others at the poker table and beyond.

Waste of time

This book is no more than a political view of the author. Chapter after chapter about Obama and Biden and I hate Trump. If I wanted that view I’d just watch CNN. I tried to continue on but every chapter was the same. Thanks to audible I was able to return it.
