Just finished this yesterday. I have to say at the beginning I wasn't sure if I was going to like this book. The reviews were mixed, and I wondered. It did keep my interest from the beginning but was slow to get going. At some point my interest kicked in and I started to really enjoy listening to it. It gained momentum and once it did, I was glued to it. Creepy but not too creepy. The story itself and the way it was written were good, and this narrator voiced the main character pefectly, with just the right personality and inflections. A book in this genre has to have an ending that fits, and this one did. I loved the way the ending was done. Overall one of the best in this genre I've listened to in a while.

Great narrator. Slightly boring book. It’s easy to think you’d never respond to a situation as the main character in a book does and become annoyed by that, but that can be thought provoking. Despite becoming weary of hearing lamentations over ex boyfriend Graham, I finished the book.

A bit draggy

Ugh, this book is short on substance and long on whiny, repetitive inner monologues from the main character...hours of..."graham is a jerk, graham broke up with me, I want graham back, why did I trust graham, why did I listen to graham, maybe I should text graham, why didn't graham respond to my text, why did graham break up with me, why cant i forget about graham, I would take graham back in a heartbeat. I think we are all pretty clear why graham didn't want anything to do with this woman.

I think we are supposed to be concerned about a locked bedroom in a guest house, but really, who cares? I was so turned off by the graham references I just wanted it to end. I hope there is a bad guy in the locked room to put us all out of our misery! Lucky Graham, he got away before the book started.
