About this listen

"Magic exists, the system is calling, and my birthday is officially ruined."

Sixteen-year-old Victoria Leighton thought high school bullies, a hospital-bound father, and surviving teenage chaos were enough to deal with. But when a mysterious blue screen interrupts her birthday, revealing her connection to an ancient Atlantean legacy, her world is turned upside down. Now thrust into a realm of stats, spells, and dangerous creatures, Victoria must learn to wield her newfound powers with the help of a snarky pixie guide.

As the barrier between dimensions weakens, monsters begin slipping into her city, and it’s up to her to stop them. But balancing high school, friendships, and her destiny as a sorceress isn’t as easy as it sounds. To protect the people she loves, Victoria must uncover the truth about her lineage and decide who she really wants to be. Will she rise to the challenge, or will her destiny destroy her?

Perfect for fans of The Mortal Instruments, Percy Jackson, and The Gamer, this action-packed urban fantasy adventure is as heart-pounding as it is magical.

Fantastic finish

Smart and Interesting main character, knows she can’t do it all, snarky system. But still feels casual. The familial relationship between brother and sister is a good dynamic. Strong themes of family, and trust me don’t want to be a family problem
