Publisher's summary

Welcome to Nocturne Falls, the town that celebrates Halloween 365 days a year.

The tourists think it's all a show: the vampires, the werewolves, the witches, the occasional gargoyle flying through the sky. But the supernaturals populating the town know better.

Living in Nocturne Falls means being yourself. Fangs, fur, and all.

Custom-aquarium specialist, Undrea Seeley, is supernaturally good at creating made-to-order fish tanks for her customers. Probably because she loves what she does. And because she’s a mermaid. She also loves living in a town where she can be herself. Well, the version of herself everyone thinks she is. But then, who isn’t harboring a secret, right?

Tech billionaire Ethan Edmonds is an open book. Hard not to be when the media follows your every move, something they’ve done pretty much since he made his first million at 17 by selling an app he’d created. Now he’s sold his biggest company for an even greater profit and he’s ready to disappear a little. At least enough to focus on a project that has nothing to do with money and everything to do with helping people.

But when his self-appointed fiancée decides he needs a majestic centerpiece aquarium in their new home, she has no idea things are about to spring a leak. Ethan has never met a woman like Undrea and is instantly captivated by her free spirit and fun-loving ways.

Undrea understands his attraction to her, however. It’s driven by magic she can’t control, but she’s still determined not to harpoon his relationship, despite her growing feelings for him. Then she realizes there’s something fishy going on and it seems Undrea’s not the only one hiding her true identity.

Saving Ethan from the dark forces out to get him could mean revealing the truth she’s been trying to hide. But will that secret sink them both or will she sacrifice herself to protect the man she fallen in love with?

Tired of listening to stories about humans? Consider the werewolf! Taking various forms over the course of centuries and mythologies, often as flesh-devourers, werewolves now commonly appear in fantasy and romance novels as shape-shifters. The shape-shifting element in werewolves' stories has almost humanized them, depicting the internal struggles we all face within ourselves, on some level or another.

Nice romance

This series is fun for the creativity of the setting. Not a book you will long remember but a fun light read for the summer.

Love Over Troubled Waters

This was another fun edition to the collection getting to explore new magics and neighbors to the town of Nocturne Falls. As always these stories are easy, engaging, and stand alone for anyone who might listen to these out of order. There is no real scene setting the stories are entirely focused on the individuals, dialogue, and interpersonal struggles. The magic is fun when it pops up and always enjoyable to see how the town community works together. You are also guaranteed to have a happy ending so all tension is only temporarily. For those that may have concerns, there is no cussing and no sex scenes. I will say some of the actions of the male in the beginning were a little uncomfortable (example: talking to his girlfriend about his attraction to her and not needing to worry about her weight while internally thinking about how he is going to break up with her), but some of that seems to shift in light of what is revealed later in the story. Overall this is consistent with Kristen's typical Nocturne Falls stories. I never have a problem with Harrison's narration always suggest that people listen to a sample if they don't like certain narrators. Looking forward to the next installment.

Love Bowie

As always, Nocturne Falls doesn't disappoint. And, while I loved all the characters, Bowie was a special treat with his antics.
The whole conflict between Undrea and Nina was an excellent little turn once you get the whole story (I'm not giving it away, I hope.)
Probably my favorite NF story.

Mermaid tales are the best!

I am so glad that we went back to Nocturne Falls! It was like visiting old friends! I love mermaid stories and this one is a lot of fun! Undera has a big secret and if found out it could change her way of life. I can’t wait for more stories from this wonderful town! I enjoyed the B.J Harrison's narration, however I wish it was a female narrator since it was a female lead. Overall though I really enjoyed this audio book!
