One incredible night...
Cara Delany shouldn't have been surprised when Pepe Mastrangelo - world-renowned playboy - disappeared after their unforgettable night, leaving only cold sheets and X-rated memories.... Or so she thought! Four months later, with more than herself to think of, she's forced to face the sexy Sicilian again.
One very big consequence!
When the fiery redhead Pepe couldn't forget hurtles back into his life proclaiming he's the father of her child, it's a role that he never expected - or wanted. Unsure if she's telling the truth, Pepe has five months to uncover everything about Cara, and he knows just where to start!

In the meantime, I will say the book, itself, is very well done for what it is- a Harlequin presents romance, a genre which is generally not known for high quality. This one is better than 99 percent of others I have read in this genre, with well developed characters and an interesting plot. The author does a good job of making the reader “feel” a great deal throughout, including anger, sadness and understanding. I enjoyed that both characters had well developed back stories that explained much of their current behavior. Did they both need therapy? Absolutely, lol. But it also felt realistic.
Now to the trigger warning. This book includes a very late stage pregnancy loss by our couple/still birth. It’s quite devastatingly done and if it is a trigger for you, it may be hard to cope with. While the couple names the child and has a funeral and honors the child they lost, the “happy ending” of the couple acknowledging their love for each other doesn’t really feel all that happy due to the fact that they are in the midst of terrible grief.
It IS a good book. But you may want to avoid if this is a trigger for you.
