About this listen

After spending the summer at home in Connecticut, Emmy is eager to return to her friends at Wellsworth. Before she leaves, she receives a key to a safety-deposit box and a letter from her father, telling her to hide the surviving relics and to trust no one.

When she returns to school, she realizes her best friend, Lola, is being framed by the Order for a crime she didn't commit. Jonas informs Emmy if she gives up her father, he'll set things right. It all comes to a head at an exhibit on Medieval manuscripts at the British Library. Will Emmy be able to stop them once and for all?

Okay storyline, poor performance

As the second installment in the series, the storyline picks up with Emmy’s second year at Wellsworth and the mysterious Order of Black Hollow Lane. The storyline will appeal to middle-grades readers. The narrator gave a so-so performance (and a poor one compared to the narrator of the first book in this series).

Perfect perfect perfect perfect😁😁😁😁😁 and happy Valentine’s Day

I dislike the author, but I disagreed with the people who said it was poor storyline. Please release the third one, if you haven’t.

Had to revert to paper book as performance was so bad

I ended up reading the book to my kids because the performance was horrendous. No one could stand listening to it.
Story was very good and it was a lovely follow up to the first book in the series.

AMERICAN ACCENT!!

The new narrator for this book is awful. The American accent makes this 12 year old girl from Connecticut sound like a 17 year old Californian Valley Girl. The Scottish people for some reason have British accents. The voices are extremely distracting.

The book itself is good so far. I had to review early because I cannot stand the narrator’s choices.

Love the story, the new narrator is HORRIBLE

My daughter and I very much enjoyed The Order of Black Hollow Lane and looked forward to its sequel. We are having trouble finishing, however, because the new narrator is terrible. The British accents sound low class at times for a private prep school. The American accents are completely slaughtered. Emmy seems to have dialects from both coasts, none at all, and slightly British at different times (even in the same sentence). It is very distracting and hard to listen too.
