Just as good as the movie I watched as a young girl in elementary school. I have always thought of this movie for 20 yrs and the book was just as beautiful. Narrated perfectly.

I recommend this lovely book to people of all ages. It belongs to the age of innocence. It will appeal to the child in all of us and give insight into adults and children's behavior. Whatever thoughts we dwell on, good or bad, have a profound influence on our lives.

An absolutely wonderful book

I had never read this classic and find audio books a great way to take them in. This performance was outstanding. The story makes use of dialects and I don't think I could have done it justice -- or maybe even had the patience -- if I were reading the printed book. The narrator was outstanding and the story was very sweet.

Why oh why have I not listened to this book sooner. What a lovely and enchanting story. I was mesmerized from beginning to end and cannot imagine it being read by anyone other than Susie Berneis.

This is absolutely one of the best stories I have ever heard! The wonderful narration and exquisite story line took me away to my own secret garden where I experienced emotional highs unlike any I have previously known.

This is not my genre of book. Not even close. But I would enthusiastically recommend this book to everyone. While it could be considered a children's book, it's uplifting, spiritual even. This should be a staple book in any home with children.

Susie Berneis has got to be the most fantastic narrator ever. Narrator's like her bring life and breadth to a good book and she's the cream of the crop. I can't praise her narration enough.

Please give this book a try.

I'm so happy as this is my first time to complete an English book!
I've watch the movies before and finally started to read the original book. And yes! It is a book with full beauty and magic. Especially when reading some descriptions of food and garden, I indeed want to experience personally.Btw, I enjoyed listening to the narrator speaking Yorkshire♪( '▽｀)
