About this listen

From best-selling author Kristy Marie comes The Sculptor, a steamy, second-chance, forbidden romance full of angsty tension and devastating secrets.

Dr. Duke Potter is no hero.

Nor am I some damsel that needs saving—if that’s what we’re calling it.

But that’s exactly what Duke thinks he did when he found me on the arm of a short-tempered congressman, arranged to be married.

I should have told him the truth.

The real reason behind my involvement with the congressman.

I shouldn’t have danced in his arms and reminisced about the time when we ran away together.

But I most definitely shouldn’t have chugged that last drink and said, “I do,” marrying my childhood love.

Unfortunately, this isn’t the first time Duke and I have caused a scandal.

This time, though, we have more than just our reputations on the line.

Duke will never let me go.

There is no annulment in our future.

Only the consequences of the devastating secret I’ve kept from our past.

The Sculptor is the next installment of the Potter brothers and features the youngest Potter brother, Duke. It is a full-length audiobook, and features crossover characters from The Potter and The Refiner.

Emotional, steamy and perfect!

Oh my heart, my heart has been squeezed in the best possible ways. “The Sculptor” is a beautiful, emotional, and heartfelt second chance romance. I have been waiting for the third Potter brothers book and Duke was everything I imagined and wanted.

Duke Potter is a plastic surgeon like his brothers. When out of town one day for a patient, he runs into the one who got away, Ramsey. But Ramsey is now engaged to a politician and that doesn’t sit well with Duke. The two have a complicated past and a secret they have both been keeping from their family.

I loved, loved these two and their story. I found myself tearing up many times and also smiling so hard. Duke is a complex guy who loves so hard and will shoulder all the blame to shield the ones he loves the most. Ramsey pulled on my heart from the moment I met her and I knew she would be special. I loved how the timeline of this story was set up. We got to see the past, the moments who made Duke and Ramsey who they were. And that plot twist, I did not see it coming. But it made so much sense and I loved it. I cannot wait for the next series and will be anxiously counting down the days.

Connor Crais and Heather Firth were fabulous as Duke and Ramsey. This story is so full of emotions and they brought it to life. They were the perfect choices and I will definitely be relistening to this story often.

a wonderful audiobook listen

Kristy Marie is one of my favorite authors and her books never disappoint. I have thoroughly enjoyed this series and The Sculptor is my favorite book so far. It was such a great ebook read and an equally great audiobook!

Duke and Ramsey were interesting characters who I wanted to see get their HEA. They had so much chemistry and their story was entertaining, emotional, and impossible to put down. I loved seeing them get their second chance and finding that the connection they shared never went away over all the years they were apart.

Kristy's writing is fantastic with great humor, emotion, drama, and steam. The plot is nicely paced and I loved getting to see characters from the previous books, too. I cannot wait for the next book!

Heartbreaking Winters

The narrators Connor and Heather did an emotionally riveting portrayal of Duke and Ramsey. It gave me goosebumps. You feel what they feel their anguish and then happiness.
Oh my! Such an amazing book. I would give it 10 stars. This book broke my heart and then slowly put it back together. It definitely had me on an emotional rollercoaster. The Potter brothers have been through so much in their lives that has made them who they are. I have read all the other Potter mens stories and have to say this is my favorite. I did not expect this to be Duke's story.
Duke and Ramsey were High School sweethearts who were torn apart by family. 18 years later they meet up again and end up reliving the hurts of their past. Then, since they get drunkenly married, decide to make a go of things. There are so many twists I did not expect. These two have to learn to trust each other and let go. Just WOW! There is so much angst and heartbreak. Duke and Ramsey have so much to overcome to get their HEA. They are so perfect for each other. This book is an absolute must read. I can not express how wonderful of a book this is. Kristy Marie created a a wonderful group of family and friends that you can relate to.
I was sent a free audiobook and am voluntarily leaving this honest review.

“Where’s my heart, Ray?” “Show it to me.” Review: This is Book 3 in The Hands of the Potters series. I knew I was going to love Duke, but OH MY GOSH! I FREAKING LOVE HIM!!! I went into this book blind and I loved it. Duke and Ramsey absolutely stole my heart. These two had an EPIC love. Their love was forbidden and their connection was undeniable. I love them and what they felt they had to do to follow their heart and do what was right for them. I was cheering them on. I would have done anything for them. Only the heartbreak they had to endure had me bawling my eyes out. Days later I still tear up. I love the banter between these two and the tender love they shared. This was such an emotion journey filled with laughter, swooning, tears and angst. I loved Duke and how he stood his ground when it came to Ramsey. This man is ultimate book boyfriend/husband material. I love him and his possessiveness. I also enjoyed the bits we got from the other Potter Brothers. I listened to the audiobook by Connor Crais and Heather Firth. They were absolutely perfect for Duke and Ramsey. They brought them to life completely. Connor is rising up as one of my go to narrators. I am soooo excited for Remington's story next! I just love his quick wit. He has cracked me up since book 1. I just love a broken boy. His book can't come soon enough!😍

Good golly

KM, you seriously don’t have to keep slapping me as hard as you do.
Duke’s story wasn’t what I was expecting for our ‘playboy’ instead it was intense and heart melting.
I cannot express how much I adore this family.
And of course, I have to round this out with my begging for Remington. It’s customary at this point.

#thesculptor by @authorkristymarie is book three in #thehandsofthepottersseries

@connorcrais and @heatherfirthnarrator did a great job with their narrations on this book. There is a rollercoaster of emotions between anger, sadness, love, hate, sarcastic and broken. Duke and Ramsey were characters that had all of those and the narrators captured them. These two characters didn’t have the stars line up for them when they were teenagers but now, they deserve their truths and happily ever after.

If you enjoy books with a dysfunctional family who would do literally anything for each other and side characters who bring the sarcasm this book is for you.

An emotional, witty and must-listen!!!!!

The Sculptor may have possibly just jumped to one of my favorite books by Kristy Marie, and these narrators absolutely nailed this story and these characters!!! Since I first met Dr. Duke Potter in The Potter, I just knew this playboy charmer would be my favorite of the Potter brothers, and I was not wrong. But this story surprised me in every way!

In true K Marie fashion, she had me glued to the pages with allll the angst, witty banter, and emotional depth from these characters. This book will make you feel all the feels with side characters who are scene stealers, and heartbreaking and heartwarming scenes from Duke & Reagan. Their past, their passion, and their loyalty to each other combine for one fantastic story about timeless and epic love between soulmates. This is some of Kristy Marie's BEST WRITING to date and I cannot wait for what is to still come! Bravo!!!

All the feels!!

All the feels! The Sculptor by Kristy Marie was an emotional and angsty second-chance romance that tugged at my heartstrings in all the best ways. Duke and Ramsey's romance may just be my favorite Potter couple so far! The gripping twists and sentimental turns captured my heart from start to finish.

Heather Firth and Connor Crais narrate this audiobook, and wow, these two just give me chills and absolutely move me with their performances. Heather portrayed Ramsey's determination, passion, and love for Duke perfectly! Plus, Connor conveyed Duke's past pains, charm, and dedication to Ramsey swooningly. The chemistry between these two is magnetic and simply meant to be.

Overall, I loved this book! If you are a fan of a second-chance romance with a hot hunky plastic surgeon, a brave beautiful artists, healing from the past, secrets revealed, witty brother banter, slow burn steamy times, jaw-dropping climax, and a HEA that will sculpt a special place in your heart, then you will love Duke and Ramsey's romance. I always look forward to more from Kristy Marie.

5 She’s His Winter Stars!!

I had the pleasure of reading and now listening to this newest book by Kristy Marie. I didn’t think it was possible to love a book more than I already did. But Connor Crais and Heather Firth brough Duke and Ramsey to life in ways that I didn’t expect having read the book. They embodied not only Duke and Ramsey with ease and in my opinion, perfection, but also the rest of the Potter family and other pivotal secondary characters. I sank into this story glued to my phone listening to each and every word mesmerized by how alive these characters became thanks to this narration. I’m so thrilled that I was able to experience this book in both ways increasing my love for Kristy Marie’s words!

If you’ve read the previous two books in this series than you know that Duke Potter has been somewhat of an enigma. He’s been involved in his brother's lives given they own Potter Plastics and of course their love stories too. But there’s this perception of him that he’s a playboy that dates women based on the seasons of the year. But with The Sculptor we get in full Duke’s story and oh my heart.. it has been put through the ringer.

As I started this book, I wondered how Kristy Marie was going to build his story and what we were going to find out about his childhood love. And oh the secrets and anguish these two have lived the last several years. The first time Duke sees Ramsey again is a shock for both of them! I think I even had my mouth hanging open LOL. Needless to say, what Duke thought he was there to do, literally changed the minute the door shut and they were left alone… both their lives immediately started in a different direction. Problem is, is that there are others that are circling like sharks in the ocean that had and have everything to do with why their lives are the way they are… yes I’m being vague on purpose because this story is a doozy!

I absolutely LOVE Ramsey! She’s beautiful, talented and on a mission and no one is going to keep her from her end goal and that includes Duke Potter. But Duke has a plan of his own especially when a truth is revealed. And this revelation changes the trajectory of both of their lives and nothing will keep them from getting the truth. One of the things I love so much about this book is the love that Duke and Ramsey share. It became rapidly apparent that the love they shared all those years ago had never gone away and now the passion they have for each other is that much more intense.

Once they begin trying to figure out the truth of what happened, we see a completely different side of Duke. Especially when he brings one of his many past relationships into their circle who could just find the answer to their quest but also realizes why she and Duke never lasted…

“Everyone knew he was waiting for someone else. He was waiting for winter.”

As we get deeper and deeper into the who’s, what’s and why’s Ms. Marie took me on a journey that was gut wrenching agony but also a beautiful love that has been rediscovered. And as they get closer to the answers they seek and finally the truth is revealed, slack-jawed… I just couldn’t believe it!! That’s how enthralling Kristy’s writing is… I was so immersed in this book that the more I read, the more focused I was on wanting every truth that kept these two from each other for years, no matter the pain it may cause. I knew that we would get an HEA but I was stunned with what was discovered and revealed and not in this lifetime did I see it coming… that’s how spellbinding Kristy’s writing is. She draws you in and weaves a tale that you just can’t help becoming fully invested in. And the ending… what a setup for the last book in this series… I’ll be over here crossing the days off on my calendar until we get what I’m sure is going to be a cataclysmic story that wraps up everything this entire family has been through, both good and bad!

Second Chance Soul Mates with an Epic Plot Twist!

Note: This should not be read as a standalone. Please make sure to start with The Potter then The Refiner and come back to this one.

Duke Potter is the youngest of the Potter brothers and the designated screw up. He had and lost his one big love and now he’s trapped in a cycle of Spring and Summer flings with Autumn and Winters full of painful memories. With both of his brothers settling down they hope maybe Duke will soon.

Duke is traveling for a plastic surgery consult for a rich old congressman when he runs into the person he least expected to see, the girl who owns his autumns and winters, Ramsey Ford. And if seeing her wasn’t shock enough after all this time but she’s also engaged. Duke isn’t deterred. They were kept apart once and Duke isn’t going to lose her again.

But Ray is hiding a secret. A reason why she needs the congressman and she isn’t about to let Duke ruin this for them. Because while Duke has had his Springs and Summers, Ray has lived every single day in Winter and she is determined to get to the truth without involving Duke. The only thing she underestimates is how stubborn a Potter man can be.

This book was everything I was hoping it would be and more. Every book Kristy puts out just gets better and better. She masterfully laid the groundwork in book 1 & 2 to give us the most satisfying payoff. Ray’s secret will keep you gripped to this story and fully invested in finding the truth right along with them.

Kristy always knows how to put me in my feels. I recommend you plan to start this one when you can binge it in one go because once you start you’ll be hard pressed to want to let Duke & Ramsey’s secret go.

I cannot wait for Remington’s story! Kristy gives us a peak at his story at the end and I can already tell we aren’t ready. Thanks so much to Kristy for providing me with an audio to review.

I listened to the audio as a reread and it put me in my feelings and made me fall in love with the Potters again. Heather Firth and Connor Crais perfectly nailed the longing, the angst, the heartbreak and the epic HEA. I cannot get enough of this series or this family.
