About this listen

The bastard son of a nobleman, Finn Trewlove was a shameful secret raised by a stranger. As Finn came of age, he had secrets, too - the clandestine nights spent with an earl’s daughter. But her promise of forever ended in betrayal.

Driven by a past that haunts her, Lady Lavinia Kent seeks redemption in London’s underworld, engaged in a daring cause inspired by the young man to whom she gave her innocence and who then proved himself a scoundrel by abandoning her.

When their paths cross again, they can’t deny the yearning and desire that still burns. As they discover the truth behind the deceptions that tore them apart, Finn and Lavinia must fight to reclaim what they’ve lost, no matter how dangerous - because love is worth the risk....

L Heath is an amaing story teller.

Scoundrel is the best of the series and I thoroughly enjoyed the book. I love the way LH spins a new story yet encompases the characters from the previous books. Her characters are believable and likeable.....they're all heroes. I can't wait for the next story in the series. Please keep up the good work.

Wonderful book

I’ve enjoyed the first two books in the series, but this story absolutely melted my heart. I just couldn’t stop listening.

I love the depth of our hero and heroine. I love how there wasn’t unnecessary conflict and I loved the time jumping where we got the story of the love of their youth in between the current. What a beautiful story. ❤️

Heartbreaking

I’ve never wanted kids. I still have time but I’m not sure if I ever will, not sure if I want to. However, this book had me bawling my eyes out and aching for Lavinia at the loss and cruelty of her family. I felt like weeping for all the moms who don’t and didn’t have a choice either in that time period or now.

Terrific

One of Lorraine Heath’s best and my favorites. Romantic, sexy, big hearted. I love the Trewlove family. Series doesn’t have to be read in order but helps.

What a story!!

I loved everything about this. I love that this story went deep, not the usual historical romance folly, they dealt with real issues. The pain was real but the resolution felt believable. I enjoyed the narrator she brought all the characters to life so beautifully. I loved the family dynamic of the siblings, can't wait to continue the series, they just keep getting better.

sweet love story

This book was devoured by me, as I couldn't seem to stop the app/listening to it. It's a sweet story between two people who fell in love very young, and after fate pulled them apart for some time, found their way back to one another.

A little more bittersweet than I usually prefer

This book is one of the many by this author that I’ve been binging in the last couple of weeks. I like them, but they’re much more bittersweet than I generally prefer. This one has as much of a happy ending that I could think of without a Time Machine.
