Publisher's summary

From the USA Today bestselling author of The Wedding Game comes a new romantic comedy about the antics that ensue when three siblings come together for their parents’ fiftieth-anniversary party.

Martin and Peggy Chance believe love should last a lifetime. With their fiftieth wedding anniversary on the horizon, they’ve modeled a beautiful relationship for their three grown children. But to their dismay, that lesson hasn’t quite caught on—the three siblings just can’t seem to take a chance and find love in their own lives.

There’s Ford, the eldest, devoted to his work and resistant to romance...or so he claims. Cooper, the middle child, can’t get past his divorce—until he reconnects with a feisty baker from his past. And Palmer, the baby of the family, is the free-spirited world traveler who always pictured herself with someone other than a handsome small-town family doctor.

When the Chance siblings come together to plan the ultimate anniversary party for their parents, they’ll have to navigate romantic entanglements, sibling rivalries, and the definitive end of their childhood. Whatever happens, The Reunion promises to be a fun, flirty, wild ride.

Great story and great narration

Having recently read The One Night, the prequel to The Reunion I was excited to dive in and see what Ms. Quinn had planned. The Chance family are a tad quirky and we got a glimpse of that previously. However, don’t worry if you haven’t read the prequel as this can be read as a stand alone.
I love the Chance family, they are a fun, frustrating and real. The siblings, Ford, Cooper and Palmer are coming together to arrange their parent’s 50th wedding anniversary celebrations. They are all so different and all have opinions on how to move forward with their plans and to say that there are tensions among the siblings would be an understatement. The one thing they all have in common is their inability to find love.
The reunion ticked all the boxes for me and the multiple narration by Lidia Dornet, Teddy Hamilton, Laurie West, Rock Engle, CJ Bloom and Stephen Borne did a fabulous job bringing this story and all the characters to life for me.
From the first chapter I was hooked on The Reunion. It made me laugh, it made me smile, I swooned and I sighed. Told from numerous points of view, there was a lot going on but it had me laughing so much I cried. It was also emotional as they found love and happiness; a story of love and family, it was extremely well written.

Truly awful narration

I think this would have actually been enjoyable to read. Unfortunately, I chose to listen. The narrator for Cooper was absolutely terrible. The way he spoke felt like he was reading the lines for the first time and kept getting stuck during line breaks. It was painful to listen to. It was also extremely awkward to have six voice actors included but to not have everyone read their own voices. I would have loved to hear Nora read Nora’s lines rather than hear Cooper butcher yet one more thing. Ouch. Could not finish.

Good story, poor male reading

While the story was enjoyable, some of the reading of male parts was just that, reading rather than playing the parts of the characters.

Funny, emotional and a little steamy

I laughed out loud quite a few times while reading this. And enjoyed this family dynamic even when they got on my nerves.

The Chance family is getting together to celebrate their parents fiftieth wedding anniversary. This will be the first time they are all together in a long time having grown apart as they got on with their lives.

The eldest Ford, buries himself in work. Following his divorce, middle child Cooper has spent most of his time helping his parents tend to things that are harder for them to handle. Palmer the youngest, has been traveling the world, becoming an influencer but now finds herself unsure of what to do next.

This reunion is supposed to be all about their patents but its bringing out their sibling rivalries, a chance to finally explore romantic relationships with people that suit them and ultimately to finally heal the issues they never resolved.

Absolutely fantastic!

Love love loved this! Narration was awesome, the characters were great. I had to be careful not to wake up my husband while listening to this at night. I would laugh out loud so often.

Gotta love Meghan Quinn

This is the second book I’ve “read” by Meghan Quinn, and I’ve got to say she does not disappoint! The story was both cute and it encourages personal grow, both personally and with family. I especially liked this story because it was unique in the fact that the narrative was portrayed by not one or two MC, but six in total. Although, I do have to say if I hadn’t listen to this story, but read it instead, it might have been a little challenging to juggle so many different points of view. Can’t wait to listen to another one of her books!

Loved it!

I liked the different people doing the different characters. it really helped to distinguish each character and give them each their own personalities. The storyline if siblings finding their way back to each other and the love interests were fantastic. my absolutely favorite thing about Meghan Quinn books is the humor. I was laughing a loud through the whole book.

Good Book!

This is my first book by this author and I really enjoyed it. The storyline was good and so were the characters. Narration was good as well. I would have liked for each sibling to have their own book though.
