About this listen

Every business starts with a market and a need.

It was obvious when Heather got out of a quick stint in county lock-up that there was a need for someone to give karma a little shove in the right direction.

We've all been there. We know the pain of moving on. But what if, Heather and Suzie wondered, moving on could be pain - guaranteed - for the ones who'd hurt them?

Welcome to The Ranch:

A place where clients are encouraged to order justice ala carte. Torture by the stripping of fingernails? That will cost you $100 a nail. Maybe, if you're a repeat customer, set on a two-for-one, we'll give you a deal. It will be worth it. We promise. Because moving on? Well that's painful....

Edgy gory thriller.

This is certainly not a G rated book but for this genre it is well crafted with a strange
group of characters.

The plot is interesting and for those who enjoy this type of story it is entertaining.

The Narrator did a good job keeping the listener involved in the story.

Moving on is painful- for him!

There are some very extreme ways to punish/kill in this story, some a bit to extreme. Two women get paid to kill the person who wronged his woman while they themselves live the life much like the people they are hired to meek out justice to.

I really enjoyed listening to the narrator

I want more!!!!

Twisted thinking of the main characters... bring on the payback! Some spots were more detailed gory than others, but when the details were told it made me cringe and squirm a bit. I would have liked to get to know the ladies just a little bit better before the end of this book, although the mystery about them helps keep it interesting, not knowing exactly where things will lead to. I can imagine something like this really happening, especially in today's day and age which is pretty darn scary. Hope there will be a next book, i would like to see where the road will lead

Holy Crazy Women Batman

Yeah so there are a bunch of vindictive and psychopathic women in this story. As a man, I loved it, even though they completely scared me. I love any good revenge story and like many revenge stories these girls end up taking things a bit too far. Both deserve their revenge, but sometimes you might need something else. Getting back at others for their misdeeds sometimes comes back around. Or sometimes you just want what is in front of you.

The story is told in first person and switches between Stacy and Heather for each chapter. Each chapter one ups on who is the crazier one. The back and forth between them makes me think they would benefit from couples counseling and I was really hoping for them to end up closer together in the long run.

This story was crazy from the get go and doesn’t let up at all. Love the fact that they have a menu to order torture from. The whole catering style ordering was fantastic and I really got a kick out of the whole thing. It was really something different to listen to in the genre. Unique and refreshing. The Ranch is very graphic and not a place I want to visit. I will go home and hug my wife and make sure she knows she is the only one for me. Would never want to visit this place. Wasn’t aware that this is a series. Super happy it is though. Excited to see where the ranch goes from here.

This narrator really creeped me out with her crying narration. She was amazing and this story wouldn’t have been so tense and gripping without her. Definitely want to hear more from her in the future. Her narration really got under my skin.

This listen was painful

I'm a fan of the book "You", so I thought this listen would be a similar POV-of-the-serial-killer type. It was, but unlike "You", this listen was a chore to get through.

It's hard to find sympathy for a serial killer, I get that, but this book didn't even try. From the first paragraph, the two friends-turned-serial-killers were incredibly unlikeable. The who they chose to kill had merit but the ways were just too bizarre.

I finished this listen but the credit for that goes to the narrator, not the story.

Sadistic

Wow what a book. Erin Lee and Chelsi Davis are twisted in so many ways. The main character and her cohort are twisted, sadistic, and down right messed up. If you cannot handle blood, gore, and torture this book may not be for you. There is every thing from ripping fingernails out to rats eating through live humans and in great detail. This book had me cringing multiple times and Loved every second of it. Tiffany Marz done an excellent job narrating this book. She kept my attention all the way through.

Heather believes Karma and revenge should be dished out through torture. Heather and Stacey are more then happy to be the one dishing it out as well. Did your spouse cheat on you, are you mad at someone? Call The Ranch, and they will take care of it for you, at a price. They have a full menu of dishes for you to choose from. You can even get pictures and video of the torture, and disposal is always free. What ever you choose will be painful and even dragged out over weeks.

Crazy Chicks

This book is about 2 supposedly best friends (Suzie and Heather) that open business to take care of the unfaithful for others as their clients want to happen to them. It has violence, brutality and gore and a unique ending. Recommend if you enjoy a gross horror. I was given this free review copy audiobook at my request and have voluntarily left this review. Painful is the operative word in this title . . .

Yes, it is a double atandra between the emotional pain caused by cheating spouses and the physical pain caused by vengeful spouses . . . but overall the story is just plain painful with little redeeming value. It is filled with gratuitous violence and sex all of which are contrived in an unrealistic series of scenes. The whole story revolves around two psychotic and sociopath women bent on torture for hire under the guise revenge as being just.

The only saving grace of this listen was the narration by Tiffany Marz. She did a great job with the emotions and voices of the characters and gave it her best to overcome the trashy material she had to work with. My advice Ms. Marz would be to either stick with narrating children's books or, at the vary least, be more selective in the work you associate yourself with.

I could not recommend this title to anyone other than those with a twisted sense of entertainment.
