About this listen

From the Montana frontier to the African savannahs, a famous mother searches for her kidnapped daughter while each must face the relentless enemies who tore them apart.

Morgan Raines has known her share of trouble. After surviving her youth as a captive of the Cheyenne, she’s grown into a famed frontierswoman, sharpshooter, and ranch owner with her family. But her troubles are far from over when she has to face off with an enemy bent on revenge. If one of them wins their constant battle, the other raises the stakes—which Morgan learns too well when Clive Dunford’s schemes culminate in the death of her husband.

Shaken and struggling with what’s best for her children, Morgan decides it’s time for them to leave their life and start a new one. She accepts Buffalo Bill Cody’s offer to perform in his Wild West Show in London, where the benefits are twofold: she gives her children a fresh start, and she can pursue her own brand of justice against Dunford in his homeland.

Their fresh start is tainted, though. Morgan’s efforts to keep them together are strained as the family tests one another, especially her twelve-year-old daughter, Glory. Desperate to grow up and be seen as a working part of their whole, Glory pushes boundaries to prove herself…until circumstance forces her to grow up even faster.

Amid a flurry of nefarious plots, Dunford manages to kidnap Glory and her prickly friend Toby, the son of a duke. They do everything to get home, outsmarting other would-be captors and befriending helpful strangers, fleeing across continents to escape whatever Dunford has planned for them.

As enemies chase each other down and allies band together to stop them, both Morgan and Glory bring their signature wit and ruthlessness to their fight to reunite their family—and take Dunford down once and for all.

I want to have his children!

And if that wish can't be granted, I just want to read all his books! Tom Reppert is a natural storyteller who can take you anywhere effortlessly. Back in time...into struggles of spirit...into love...beyond stories into sagas...you leave wherever you are and go where he takes you and then you don't want to leave. Thank goodness he has written many books because it would just be unkind to write this amazingly well and then give us just two or three books! Buy them for you, buy them for any and everyone who loves a whopping good book! He makes Christmas shopping easier, that is for sure. Welcome to Tom Reppert!
