About this listen

Myke Cole's Sacred Throne trilogy continues to blend epic fantasy with power armor in a second book sure to please fans of Brandon Sanderson and Joe Abercrombie.

The Queen of Crows, book two of the Sacred Throne trilogy, continues the epic story of Heloise as she continues her journey from obscurity to greatness. Despite the crippling injuries she's received, Heloise stands tall against overwhelming odds with the help of alchemically-empowered armor and an unbreakable spirit.

Heloise has grown from a shell-shocked girl into a figure of revolution, and as she draws in allies, her cause grows ever stronger. The time for hiding underground is over. Heloise must face the tyrannical Order and lay siege to the Imperial Palace itself.

An outstanding story!

This is a thrilling book worth your time. Read The Armored Saint first. but be prepared to immediately pick this one up next.

Better than the first

It's amazing how much one can improve over time. The story and character developments are on point and the dialog and talking points dont drag on. Would recommend this and cant wait for the 3rd and final. I hope you create another fantasy trilogy in the future.

This ramps up nicely!

This book has the luxury of not needing to slog through the first half the story to establish any footing in the actual plot. The Armored Saint was slow to start while this book keeps up the momentum. I only wish they were one book considering how short they are and how little transpires between the two to warrant a split like this.

F@#$ing Fantastic.

From the first moment of the book you are thrown into Cole's extensive knowledge and research of feudal societies and warfare. Then couple his ability to set a scene full of characters with Barall's ability to give life to all of those characters and you have the fastest 8 hours of your life. He takes a moment and spins it into a chapter, making each suspenseful breath last an hour.

I love books where you can see the writers passions and interests intertwined into the narrative. 10/10 and would/will read it again.

Even better than the first one!

Loved the armored saint and this one is even better. It’s a Fantasy story that explores the human condition. Love it. Can’t wait until book 3 in October.

LOVE!

this story is very unique with a hero that is as easily broken and scarred as anyone else on the field. young girl if I remember correctly was barely 12 or maybe 16 you overcame odd odds to be a hero not by power, strength, or might, not even by the armor she was in. she became a hero because of her heart.

Save your money.

Great job narrerating, but the story was just horrible. Not anything at all like Sanderson, that is false advertisement. By far the worst trilogy I have ever read/heard.

Better than the first one

I would give it 3.5 but that’s not an option.
Story is a little better but it still feels limited, as if only half or two-thirds of the story is being told.
Over dramatized reading by the narrator is a mark against.
Not a waste of a credit but a credit can be better spent.
