Clever writing and unusual POV

It isn't offer that a novel's narrator is, unusually, a villain -- one whose acerbic wit and maudlin romantic fantasies, love for her cat, and occasional victimization at the hands of people more twisted than she is, make her just sympathetic enough.
Wonderful, crisp narrative and a fabulous actor performing the novel.
The ending is quite satisfying.

Enjoyable Listen

I finished this one in a day while I painted the kitchen. Not being hard to figure out who the 'bad guy' was didn't distract from a great story. Well told with a few twists to keep me on my toes. Love the readers voice and will make note of her name for future selections.

Good story

My only issue is the narrator. So often she mispronounced words and paused in sentences in the wrong place. Frustrating to listen to

apart from mispronunciations, excellent!

I really like the story and POV in this novel, and the narrator's performance is really fun to listen to.

My only criticism is there are quite a few words that are consistently mispronounced. That happening became a point of frustration because it pulled me out of the story for a moment each time.

Just okay

Not too bad. A bit odd and unrealistic. But it kept my company while cleaning house.

Devious

I enjoyed this book…twisty with devious characters. I’m definitely going to listen to more from this author.

Terrible people

The protagonist, and basically every character, is a terrible person. The plot is far-fetched.

I’m glad it was short, and I’m glad it was free.

Little boring and monotonous but ok

The main character is hard to warm up to so it makes it harder for me to be invested in the story. It was ok, I had a long drive and it was free.
