Publisher's summary

There is a question branded on every human heart. It remains an ever-present part of life, seemingly written into our DNA. But this question wasn’t placed there by God, nor was it our own invention.

Have you found the world’s relentless assault on your self-worth has left you jaded, resolved to living with uncertainty about where you stand with God? When the question persists, it holds you back from the life you were meant to live. Jesus uses the parable of the Prodigal Son to paint the true picture of God’s unconditional love for humanity and your worth as the object of his love.

The Prodigal Question invites rlisteners to deeply understand the parable of the Prodigal Son and the companion parables of the Lost Sheep and Lost Coin.

The question must be addressed. Left unchecked, it corrupts the way you view yourself and God. It has likely done significant damage in your life already. That’s the bad news.

The good news is you can be free of its corrosive effect right now.

This book has blessed me! Profoundly edifying!

I plan on getting a copy to all my friends who proclaim Christ. No matter how long you've been a Christian, how educated you may be - how many books you may have read. The overall message & exhortation(s) written on these pages could seriously bless a Christian! I tell you... At one point I felt I've nearly memorized the entire New Testament (plus or minus a few books - paraphrase memorization, not word for word). Would read hours of theology content per week. And still, I somehow managed to forget, or even miss - some of the most important "truths" about God, His Nature & what matters to Him. You can feel this was written as an exhortation - to us, the Church. The Body of Christ. You sense the author genuinely cares and is encouraging you, imploring you... It's so edifying.

There are certain things I already knew - But, I seriously lacked cohesion "in my understanding of." This book caused many emotional eye openers for me, and was super helpful in having a more cohesive understanding on these huge, important aspects of God's Word.

As it relates to value, it's not just head knowledge. It's only expounding upon what was already there, in scripture. The Word of God is living and active, sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing to the division of soul and of spirit, of joints and of marrow, and discerning the thoughts and intentions of the heart.

It's spiritually valuable! It's caused LASTING Fruit in my life! I read this book several months ago & still, today - I literally remind myself of specific moments I had while listening to the book - moments where scripture was pointed out to me & expounded on in a way that brought cohesion to my prior understanding, which lead to comfort & confidence (in God's Word). Moments where I was certain, where I made up my mind. Epiphanies that brought sweet, much needed peace!

God's love is so big, it's well beyond words. It can be difficult to grasp. It's so vast, it can almost seem abstract (if try to think about it). In the same way eternity is hard to imagine (if you try to think about it, you almost can't). The love of God has been similar to me. This book is really encouraging. Highly recommend it!
