About this listen

Created in the Emperor's own image, the primarchs had long thought themselves to be princes of the universe and masters of their own destiny - they led the Space Marine Legions in glorious conquest of the galaxy, and no enemy of the Imperium could stand against them. However, even amongst this legendary brotherhood, the seeds of dissent had been sown long before the treacherous Warmaster Horus declared his grand heresy.

Find out the deepest mysteries of the primarchs. Who is in control of Fulgrim's body - him, or a daemon? What happens when the Alpha Legion fights against itself? Just what secrets is the Lion keeping? And what could the tragic Ferrus Manus have done to prevent himself from becoming a head shorter?

Loved the stories. They were rich with lots of lore on the worlds of 40k. The four star rating on performance is because I wished the sections were better annotated.

Hydra Dominatus

3 of the 4 stories I found underwhelming. But the Alpha Legion story redeemed the book :)

Really liked these short stories, and always, Hydra Dominatus brothers. More books like this would be fantastic.

Awesome stories

Great onsite into the minds of the primarchs. Learned a lot about how they all were, and what made them different.

Great listen!

I disliked the sacrifice of loyalty.

Woe unto the loyal, for they suffer unjustly.

And the warm succulent fruit shall spoil in the sun, for I dare not touch it, lest I too be bitten.

If you like the Alpha Legion, get ready for one of the best short stories in all of 40k featuring them.

Great collection

the rest of the series has random 2 minute rewinds, this book doesn't. probably because of the short stories. it's odd for none of the primarchs on the cover to not be in the book though..

this one isn't plagued by the 2 minute rewinds

The first story pertaining to fulgrim is frustrating in its lore implications. I think I will just disregard it in my head canon because it makes no sense. Not a fan of that one or the first half of the iron hands story, but the latter half is incredibly good. The Dark Angels story was solid. The Alpha Legion story was very enjoyable.

Mostly good

I loved all of these stories, especially the Alpha Legion one serving as the encore!

Great!

As usual, most of these stories are pretty good, I have to say that the Fulgrim story was really bad. I gave the story a chance but I have to say a lot of it just didn't make sense. There was so much build up about Fulgrim being taken by the daemon in the previous novel, No spoilers but I would of preferred Lucious was correct.

Only one story didn't land
