This author is an all-time favorite And I've read this book several times. Great character development, wonderful story, And I absolutely love these characters. Listening to this on audible Was an absolute pleasure. The choice of narrator added to the overall experience and I'll be looking for his name for future listening. Cannot recommend this book enough.

It's a fun fantastic adventure. Shemal and Lesto are adorable together. I love the ending. This was a super sweet story.

The narrator's voice is sexy and he did an awesome job with the audiobook. I'm glad it's narrated by a person because I won't listen to ai or virtual voice.

I’d read every single book ever written by Megan Derr and hear every single audiobook that was made and each one is amazing. This second book in the Tales of High Court series is funny, witty, interesting and more. The story of Lesto and Shemal and how fell in love with each other is endearing, and when you consider it together with the action, suspense and some faces from the previous book, the result is a great reading. Now the narration is also oustanding because Mr Stellman really brings to life every character in a wonderful way. Loved it!!! I can’t wait for the audiobook of book 3!!

My most loved book from this series and narrated by the amazing Michael Stellman, who has an incredible voice!

Lesto and Shemal's romance is what fairytales should be. The pirate and the High Commander! After a tryst that had Shemal leaving Lesto in the middle of the night, they meet again when Lesto is kidnapped and pretty much lands at the feet of Shemal. Shemal being a reformed pirate of course helps his one time lover, that after a year and half can't stop thinking.

And here their story starts with them cursing at each other, fighting together, fighting each other and yearning for each other! They are sweet, they are aggravating and break your heart a bit but their HEA is that for the stars and I wish I had more of them!

Almost all of this author’s books are great and this one is not an exception. We met with all the acquaintances from the book one and enjoyed the advenure with Jamal and Lesto. Performance was excellent as always.
