About this listen

Mags Barkworth still suffers the effects of a life-changing tragedy over a decade ago.

She knows her husband loves her. She knows he would never do anything to hurt her, or their daughter. But what if the voice in her head, the one she's pushed away with therapy and anti-depressants, is telling the truth?

What if it's all a lie?

When Tam, their daughter, draws an uncannily detailed picture of a place she's never been, Mags's life starts to unravel. But even in her most paranoid moment, Mags could never have guessed the secret she is destined to uncover.

Interesting storyline and enjoyable listen! The sci-fi twist woven into the suspense and mystery was a nice a nice change.

Story line

Interesting story…but the American accents by the narrator needs a bit of work 😂 I’m offended. Jk!! Is this really what we sound like?? 😂

Didn't grab me.

Very good narration, but the story itself just didn't grab me. I listened all the way through, but just couldn't care about the characters or feel worried and frightened for them!?

A good story

I will definitely check out other books by this author. I only wish the ending told of what happened to the reporter….

Interesting story line

Decent plot. Narrator had a beautiful voice, but did a terrible job of the American accents. Cross between a bad John Wayne and Joe Pesci. Never sure what he was trying to accomplish,

Narration....

The narrator's accent attempts were not good to the point that they were a distraction from the story.

Is there another book

It was pretty good just something to listen to that kept my interest but is there another book? Just seemed like it ended and no epilogue or anything. I really didn’t understand the whole concept about medical stuff they were doing but overall it was an ok listen.

Narrator problems

The story was decent and the ending satisfying, but the narrator’s attempt at American accents is absolutely horrible. The people from Boston sounded like they were from Deep South Alabama. Do Brits assume that all Americans talk like Hank Hill? It completely distracted from the story.
