About this listen

Some say it's better to live as a villain, than to die as a hero. But why choose when you can go back in time and try out each option?

Ryan "Quicksave" Romano has begun a new time-loop. His goal? To prevent New Rome's destruction at the hands of the vicious Meta-Gang. To do so, our favorite courier must explore both sides of the law: to become a corporate superhero in one loop, and a scenery-chewing supervillain in the next!

But not is all as it seems. What is this heavy secret that the Dynamis corporation keeps hidden from him? Who is this person who seems to remember events from the previous loop? And most importantly, where did his cashmere suit go?

A great arc though the election was brief

I came into this series expecting a time traveler causing chaos and shenanigans.
As shown by all of interactions with ghoul, my expectations were met. What I was not expecting was to really see Ryan's loneliness and the entire process of making this a perfect run for everyone.

After this series I have decided to go and pick up all of the authors other published works. I would and did recommend this to all of my friends.

great story

taking a simple power and using it to its full capacity. That's what I love to read. That's good storytelling.

Fun Characters continued

The book gets off to a bit of a slow start, but picks up speed and ends in chaos!

Just Great

Just as good as the first book if not more. After finishing the first audiobook I went and read the story on royal road. Though hearing it preformed in just a fantastic way is all I could ask for. I highly recommend the series, and anything else written by Void Herald.

Better and more complex than expected

I really wasn’t expecting much. I enjoyed the first one but I thought this might just be okay - something to listen to but not one that’s too addictive.

However, every time I thought this was either wrapping up or moving to the next part it just kept twisting in ways I didn’t expect. I can’t wait to start the third now.

Not bad, but definitely the weakest of the 3.

Coming off the high of the first book this one seemed to lose it's way a little bit. The jokes were fewer and the overall vibe just felt different. Came back strong in book 3 though so all good.

A continuation.

There isn't a whole lot more to say for this one. Everything from the first book more or less remains true for the second. Still doing the same loop over again, still in new rome, the book still ends as it began(mostly). This time around he (sort of) solves his friendship dilemma and gets a more complete understanding of all the major players in town. The humor keeps up, its still fun, a little tragic, and well put together.

It might not sound like a stunning review, but I don't have anything negative to say so I can't think of much to say period. if you liked the first book your likely going to like this one. That's pretty much the long and short of it.

Outstanding series!

The worldbuilding, characterization, and interwoven storylines across time are excellent. Even tho the story spans multiple timelines and some prior experiences, it's never difficult to follow or understand what's going on. This is one of my new favorite authors!

As for the narrator doing the storytelling, Eric Summerer does a fantastic job, I'll be sure to keep an eye out for other stories voiced by him!
