Great second series continuing the suspenseful, harrowing, mysterious, and spicy adventures of Ben and Alexei and their made-family. Homeless veterans are mysteriously disappearing. Our heroes don’t want to dragged into world-threatening danger once again, but danger just won’t leave them alone!

Gary Furlong does a fantastic job voicing all the characters and overall narration.

Brilliant on all levels!

The story of Ben and Aleksey is the most exciting ever written! all 14 books are outstanding. A must read.

I pre-ordered this, forced myself to wait a few days to download it, and told myself I wouldn’t listen to it all in one day. I failed. I really like that Alexey is finally to a point where he isn’t afraid to give Ben occasional PDA—only took him fifteen years and I was losing patience with him always getting angsty about it. Their new relationship dynamic is interesting and the fact that Alexey is a little annoyed about it is pretty fun.

Gary Furlong’s narration is on point as always and I can’t give this book as many stars as I’d like.

I just love this series. Both series, actually.

I read this as soon as it came out, knowing that the audio would be awhile to be released. Now, listening to this, I noticed that I missed the depth of the story that the audio brings that I did not get by me just reading it. This has everything to do with the narrator, Gary Furlong, who once again brings all these characters to life.

This book is situated around the new island and family. And of course, all the normal Shenanigans that everyone seems to get up to.

I'm eagerly waiting for book 3 and beyond

If you're this far into this series you know how awesome the writing and it's performance on audio are. This one does not disappoint. I wish I could stumble my way on to Horse Tor or shipwreck onto Light Island and join these wildly diverse and fun characters.
