How to explain?

Perhaps the first thing to be brought up is the monotonous reader. Her voice is almost
Monotone with few breaks for a breather.
Second the flood of full named characters that is overwhelming too. Something akin to the reader reading a telephone book!
Third is no discernible character voice differences, making one character flow directly into another.
While plot is acceptable I would still rate the
Book as a 1 out of 10 aka not worth bothering to listen to sadly.
