Publisher's summary

Not all secrets are what they seem.

When Bridget spots an elegantly dressed woman leaving her husband’s office late one night, she fears the worst. Her marriage is already strained but things are about to take an even more shocking turn when her family is suddenly torn apart by a horrific crime they all become entangled in. Her trust is shattered, her husband is on the run, and her son is hiding a dark secret. Bridget’s life has become a dangerous lie and the clock is ticking as the police close in on a killer.

But who can she trust when all roads lead back to her husband and son?

A gripping thriller that will leave you doubting those you love most!

Will you enjoy The Other Woman? If you read any of my favorite psychological and domestic suspense thriller authors including K.L. Slater, Shalini Boland, Adan Croft, Kathryn Croft, Lisa Gardner, Louise Jensen, or Rachel Caine, the answer is a resounding yes!

Suspenseful

I enjoyed this. The storyline kept me hooked and it was interesting to see how fragile trust is.

Tara Langella gave a good performance.

Suspenseful - Listened to in One Day.

I decided to purchase “The Other Woman” because the narrator is Tara Langella. I was captivated by the story and delivery. Had to know what was going to happen next.

I won’t give anything away. The characters and plot were unpredictable. The main family was likable. Listen for yourself, if you like suspense and some family values.

I will be looking for more books by N. L. Hinkens and audiobooks narrated by Tara Langella.

Outstanding read!

The Other Woman, my third read from author Norma Hinkens. Its cast of diverse personalities comes off as people, not just words in a book. I'm a character reader I get into who the characters are & why they do the things they do. I enjoyed the outstanding suspense story-line with its intricately woven twists and turns. Norma Hinkens is on my radar of great authors! I was given a Kindle copy of this book back in January and am just now getting around to voluntarily reading & reviewing it. (RIP Marley January 20, 2014 - July 24, 2018).

Great story

How easy it is to start distrusting the person you are married to. The reaction of friends and neighbours where instead of support you see them turning their backs to you and worse.

A story of love, betrayal and loyalty.

I enjoyed this book. It has several different people trying to protect a man both thought probably killed a mistress but is the real killer even on the suspect list? Things get out of hand when the prime suspect appears to have jumped bail.

The story keeps you guessing.

Could it be what it looks like?

The Other Woman is the twelfth book by Norma Hinkens that I’ve listened to, and I have to say listening to this one kept me off balance from the very beginning. Instead of trying to figure out “who dun it” right off the bat, I tried focusing on each of the characters as they revealed themselves. While that approach got me tuned on to each of them it did nothing for advancing my solving the murder. I tell myself with each new book from this author I’m going to suspend my jumping on what seem obvious solutions, and it never works. Didn’t work in this case either. And I guess that is why I love Norma’s books; they are very well-crafted thrillers that lead you right into dead ends but give you an alternate route until it is a dead end as well. Then suddenly you are confronted with a destination you never saw or imagined coming. If you enjoy psychological thrillers crafted with flawed multidimensional characters who are interesting and believable, who get into situations that seem open a shut yet turn into nothing of the sort, grab a copy of The Other Woman and enjoy an entertaining tale. Along with the obviously excellent story, Tara Langella’s narration of this story and her character voices brought the story to life.

An entertaining mystery/ thriller

The Other Woman could be retitled What Not To Do If You find a Body in Your Car. The story is an entertaining mystery/ thriller that will keep readers on the edge of their seat, even though some of the characters’ actions are seriously questionable.

The narrator is a great fit for the book and does a good job bringing the book to life.

I received a complimentary copy of this audiobook. This is my honest and voluntary review.

Wonderfully twisty

N.L. Hinkens writes the best psychological thrillers.

Just when you think you know who the guilty party is she throws in a twist.

I admit I was very frustrated with Bridget in the beginning of the book…I was like come on lady…you have to call someone!

I listened to the audiobook and it was fantastic. Hi find I really enjoy the audiobooks because they add an additional creepy factor.

Boring

Good concept, boring execution. Narration isn’t bad except for that of the young daughter. Imagine anyone trying to imitate an annoying little kid and that’s what it sounded like
