About this listen

Hannah and Tamar are looking forward to spending Thanksgiving break with their grandparents. On the long ride to Vermont, the sisters are quick to offer assistance when a fellow passenger - a girl in her late teens - is hassled by a rough-looking young man. Grateful as she may be for their help, Gwen is in no hurry to make friends, not even as she thrusts a mysterious package into Tamar’s hand and disappears in the Rutland train station. Puzzled by her behavior, Hannah and Tamar set out to locate Gwen and unravel the secret of the mysterious package.

Fans of Nancy Drew will enjoy this mystery.

Decent, quick mystery for younger listeners

While I did enjoy the Mysterious Package to some extent, I think it's more suitable for younger listeners (think younger teens). It's a very lighthearted mystery about a package that is thrust into Tamar's hands but the girls are puzzled as to who it is for, what are the contents etc.
I actually kind of like that it's a light mystery - not everything has to be about violence, after all - so it's definitely suitable for young and emerging detectives, puzzle solvers or mystery lovers.

A clean, relatable, fun mystery

This book will appeal to those in high school, or middle school. Hannah and Tamara are sisters who are in high school, and are off to visit their grandmother over Thanksgiving. It was fun to actually read this during the Thanksgiving season! On the train they help a girl who is being hassled. At the train station, she gives them a package, which they don’t open. Their grandfather, a retired police offer, gets involved helping them to reunite the package with the girl – or is she actually the rightful owner? And what is actually in the package, anyway? The girls’ also become romantically involved with two boys from the area. This is a clean book, with relatable people and situations. Well done! The audio narration was good. I received a free copy of this audiobook, with no obligation.

A Delightful Mystery

This mystery was charming and as the blurb stated very reminiscent of the Nancy Drew mysteries that I read in my youth. I enjoyed it and I recommend it to others who enjoy this genre. Julie McCarthy's narration was good and fit the story well. I was given a free copy of the audiobook and I have voluntarily left this review.

Who owns the package?

The Mysterious Package is Book 1 in A Hannah and Tamar Mystery by Christa Nardi and Cassidy Salem. I thought this mystery was so enjoyable. Hannah and Tamar are going by train to visit their grandparents. Gwen pushes a package into Tamra's hands and runs away. The sisters try to discover what is in the package and who does it belong too? I thought the characters were good and I enjoyed the mystery. I was able to listen to the audio book in one setting. I think that this story will be interesting to younger teens and adults. I am looking forward to book 2. Julie McCarthy does an amazing job as narrator. She was able to express the teen girls in a younger voice while aging her voice for the adults.

Whose the package owner?

The Mystery Package. A Hannh and Tamara Mystery, Book 1 by Christa Nardi and Cassidy Salem.

Hanna and Tamara were on the traing going to their grandparents house for a family reunion when a girl they helped to get out from a young man shoved a package in Tamaras hands and left the train. So when they got home to their grand parents home, they spent the days looking for the girl to give her back the package.

This has been a really fun book to listen to. I liked the way this book developed, how the characters were presented and the easy going vibe it gives.

I think this audiobook is going to be interesting to young teens and can be considered a cozy book for them.

Interesting Cozy Mystery!

This is the first novella in the Hannah and Tamar Mystery series. The characters are great, and I love to follow them in this adventure. This short story is well written and interesting. The plot is well-crafted. I like the family ties in this story. Julie McCarthy did a good job with the narration. I enjoyed it. I am looking forward to listening to the second book in the series.

Fun mystery story!

The Mysterious Package is a nice short mystery story and start of a new series by Christa Nardi and Cassidy Salem - both of whom are accomplished writers on their own. Teen sisters on a train trip encounter a girl being harassed. She thrusts a package at the sisters and disappears. They work to solve the mystery of the girl and the package. I enjoyed the story, the characters and their interactions with each other and their grandparents. Julie McCarthy did a great job with the narration and in creating the voices for the younger and older characters. I received a free copy of the audiobook and this is my unbiased review.

awesome !!!

fresh and fun! This book is a great light Mystery. It's great for a Nancy drew type story. Though the solution isn't easy to guess it's rather anticlimactic .

4/5

A Hannah and Tamar Mystery
Narrated by Julie McCarthy
Runtime: 2 hrs and 5 mins
Summary:
On the train ride up to see their grandparents, Hannah and Tamar stumble across a distraught, haughty woman and a scruffy looking dude. Things get weirder when the woman slips a strange package into one of the girls’ pockets.

Additional Comments:
• Simple, kid safe mystery. Probably going for the market that loves Nancy Drew, The Bobbsey Twins, Mandie, and such.
• Half the book is mystery and half is managing semi relationships with some nice guys from the town.
• No real peril to the characters. Normally, that would annoy me, but it fits here.
• Performance was good.
• Main characters did have differences but sort of blurred into one type.
• Conclusion works well and is satisfying.
Conclusion:
Clean, peril free mystery aimed at 10-14 year old girls. Fits that well.

What's in the package?!

My daughters and I love listening to audiobooks on our long drive to and from school, and we had a blast with this story. It's entertaining, mysterious, and made us giggle more than once (especially the grandparents, haha!). Definitely recommend - don't miss out :-)
