Conrad heads down to the border and infiltrates the compound. But to prove himself, he has to hold up a train with the rest of the gang. Ramirez catches on to Conrad's ruse, and the only way out is for Frank to come to the rescue. It's a wild turn of events for sure, but for the Morgans, when it comes to killing their enemies, it's all in the family.

I liked the story overall, but I didn’t think all the beatings the Drifter took were necessary. So many westerns and action stories involve the “hero “ getting head blow after head blow and if that really happened they would be constantly concussed and eventually brain damaged. I also was kinda hoping one of the baddies was actually not so bad, but that didn’t turn out and they all died in a hail of bullets. It was a good tale and it kept my attention.

This was a terrific story and well narrated by George Guidall (who I have come to appreciate more and more for his talent -across any genre). Just the right length - the story line moved along at a clip - and there was no way of be certain just how this would end. This is writing and narration at its very best - but I have only recently dipped my toe in the WESTERN genre - but I will keep doing so if this standard can be expected. A strong recommendation.

The last gun fighter series is most enjoyable and yes this new edition, The Morgan’s is superb.

A real western with a fine ending! I have been wanting to listen to a really good western and this story fits the bill! I enjoyed it from beginning to end! I especially loved the narrator. He sounds like a true western!

I never found out who Ramirez’s contacts were in the towns where Frank and Kid were from.

Apologies if this sounds mean spirited but I just couldn't listen to this narrator. the way he slurred or accented his words was frankly too distracting and annoying. I know this is subjective but I will just read the book instead.
