About this listen

For Southern girl Verity Long, friendship means sitting down to stories and sweet tea on the front porch. For her gangster ghost housemate, it means dragging Verity out to a remote haunted asylum during a raging thunderstorm to do a favor for a long-dead mob boss.

But Verity is always ready to help out a friend, even one as eternally eccentric as Frankie. And in the case of Mint Julep Manor, the stakes are too high to refuse. The criminally insane mob boss holds a secret to Frankie’s past, one that might set Frankie free. Do the favor - survive the favor - and they might change Frankie’s afterlife for good. Fail, and they might never leave the asylum.

A piece of history!

I’ve fallen in love with the characters and setting of this series. I felt this story had much more depth to it than others as it dug into a part of history that most would rather leave forgotten.

Fun Installment

I really enjoy this series. This one is actually a bit spookier as they are trapped in the haunted asylum. The ending is beautiful and the fact that Verity is finally getting to the bottom of who killed Frankie the ghost.

Needs New Narrator

I really like this series. The story is good and there is a lot of humor in them. The only problem is the woman reading them. She wasn't that good to start and as the series goes on she has gotten worse. All the men in the book sound the same. I'll still enjoy the books. I just wish they would get another reader.

Thrilling Listen!

This is by far my favorite in this series. Definitely had me on the edge of my seat, looking behind my back a few times and needing to turn on lights at night while I listened haha The narrator did a great job scaring me many times with her spooky voices for some of the ghosts haha she does crazy ghost very well!

Will Verith Ever Get Some?

Seems to be a G rated series. Compared to demon hunter biker witch series, this one is tame. Yet somehow additicting.

Maybe nice girls don't tell.

Cliff hanger

This is an excellent book. My claustrophobic nature did not like it, AT ALL!!!!! So, my only criticism is that the author left 2 cliff hangers. Not just one. I love this series and I hate when authors do that. Just saying...
