Love This Author
This book was a true delight, surpassing my expectations (didn’t think it would be a love story between an “older” couple) and immersing me in a captivating era. The love story of an older couple served as a powerful reminder that love knows no bounds. Expertly crafted characters, including the antagonists, added richness to the narrative. Seeing justice prevail was satisfying. This heartwarming tale will resonate deeply with admirers of Jane Austen's literary legacy.
The narrator did a great job at all the different voices for each character, and there were a lot of them. I have no idea how she remembers what voice she uses for them.

Sweet Regency Romance
The London Rose is a Regency romance by Rosanne E Lortz. I enjoy books set during the Regency period in London and this story has wonderful characters as well as a surprising romance. The road to romance is never easy and the author took me on an enjoyable ride with several twist and turns. I feel that The London Rose was left me wanting more of the story. I hope that the next book comes soon!

Great listen
I received a free audiobook code in exchange for a review.
I love most historical fiction, and, thankfully, this story had a lot going on to keep me focused and entertained. My only complaint was the overuse of adverbs. That's probably just me, though.
The narrator did a great job. I'd listen to more stories by her.

A Seasoned Romance
My first book by Roseanne Lortz, and still hard to beat! I love that the protagonists are older and yet still full of fire. The narration seemed a bit languid for my tastes, until I realized Audible gave me the option to speed it up to 1.2. Just perfect! And as always, Lortz’s authors notes are a delicious dessert.

Delightful!
I loved this book. Reading it was wonderful so I jumped at the chance to review the audio version and it was just delightful. The narrator did a brilliant job. There were quite a few different characters but she made them all sound quite distinct which must take a lot of talent. I would be happy to listen to her again. Although I received a free copy, this review is voluntary and if I had not thought it up to scratch I would have reported exactly that.

Loved this story
I loved listening to this audiobook! Stories set in 19th century England are some of my favorites! Maria Johnson is the perfect narrator for this story. Between the story being so well written by the author, and listening to Maria narrate and perform the character voices, I could easily see each scene and each character clearly in my mind. I'm looking forward to listening to the sequel!

A Clean, Sweet Romance.
The story was sweet, the performance okay, there were many characters, and the narrator did her best, the Earl sounded like a woman trying to be a man. I am sorry, there were no surprises. It is a mundane, banal Regency Romance. The only good choice was making the Earl and the Widow the focus of the story, Penelope is a brat, and Giles is too boring to be real. Surely heros should be more interesting than Giles.
Thank you for allowing me to listen to this Arc, as always, the opinions are my own.
