About this listen

The faerie world is no place for a human.

Isaac and Yara’s search in London for answers about Prince Teris’s disappearance comes to a halt when two powerful faeries abduct Yara through a portal. Isaac must venture to the magic-starved faerie realm, where danger lurks in every corner, and allies are hard to find.

From dangerous man-eating trees to sparse deserts with voices that call out in the night, Isaac faces challenges beyond his wildest imagination. Yet, his determination to rescue Yara fuels his every step.

Meanwhile, Yara refuses to be a damsel in distress. Unaware that Isaac is coming, she forges unlikely alliances and uncovers a startling truth about the mall portal.

Will Yara and Isaac reunite and find their way home? Or will their time in the faerie realm alter their destinies forever?

In a world where nothing is as it seems, the bond between two friends and the power of resilience and courage will be put to the ultimate test.

Fantastic Sequel!

I loved it!!! I loved that Yara got her own chapters in this book and that we got to see the fairy world. Also... TWO NARRATORS! I loved how immersive the story was with the addition of Jacclyn James. Fantastic dialogue. Jacclyn and E.M Wylde both are steller preformers. I can't wait for book 3.

Excellent, Engaging Mystery!

Yara and Isaac must travel to England to help Yara’s mother and find her missing father, Prince Teris. To get there, they must stretch the truth! Shortly after their arrival, they discover nothing is as it should be, and trust should not be easily given! The fairy world is nothing like the human world and poor Isaac will learn this the hard way!

Christina Wallace, the author, once again delivers a captivating mystery blending humans and non-human creatures in scenarios that mirror real life while also exploring the fantastical as well. Wallace thoroughly develops each character and authentically portrays their relationships in rich and vivid detail. The plot twists are engaging and unexpected. The narrative flows smoothly, enriched by the captivating dialogue.

The narrators, E. M. Wylde and Jacclyn James are delightful to hear as they engage the listener with consistent and unique character voices. They are skilled at punctuating the dialogue and narrative with deliberate pauses, emotion, and rhythm. Together they bring each character to life and fully immerse the listener.

This is a highly entertaining and engaging mystery with talented narrators. I highly recommend this book!
