The Kingdom Of Flames and Ash

I really enjoyed this story and the narration. I would have loved a little more character depth, to get to know all the side characters a little better and less of the obsession Lira and Tavish had for one another. Don’t get me wrong, it was great….. but maybe not mentioned so many times. I loved the duel narration and I will definitely read more from this author.

Great ending

Overall I enjoyed this series. The ending was the best part. The epic battle and twist and turns of this story made it exciting to read.

Narration made the book

This book could’ve been shortened and wrapped up with book 2. BUT, the audible still kept me entertained as the narrators were great and I played it at 1.5x. I wouldn’t have finished the physical book otherwise. It

Tavish’s jealousy and over protectiveness became annoying and got old. Much of the book was banter, Lira and Tavish together without much story progression. Finnian, who is usually the funny character, also got annoying towards the end with old jokes. I finished the book bc I wanted to know what happens but most of it was unnecessary.

Love this whole series!

The entire series is amazing! Love, gore, and super natural it has a very interesting story and keeps you wanting more every second. I could not stop listening to this audiobook and when I had to stop I hated it. The voice actors bring so much to this series. You feel like you are there with them in every moment. I can not stress enough how good this series is!!

Fated mates, enemies to lovers oh my!!!

Constant troubles for our main characters but also entertaining at every turn. Good series. Jen L had some spicy and loving scenes that screamed “finally” for me.

Good

The series is good and worth the purchase. Although, it does get old listening to the constant, and I do mean constant, reiterating of "if he touches you, I will kill him!" or "if they harm you, I will hurt everyone they care about!" or "if he even dares to look at you..." You get the gist of it. It really got old hearing it (I listened to the book on Audible) but I can't imagine it would have been any better reading it. Honestly, I heard it so much that it lost it's meaning and I started rolling my eyes. The author really should have figured something else to write. The second book in the series is not as good as the first and could have been cut very short and then absorbed into one of the other two books. That would have made the entire series better. But, overall, it is a good series. It just needs some work and it would be a fabulous series.

It had a lot of potential, the bones of the story were interesting.

It felt like a mature book being wrote by someone young or in experienced in intimacy. There were a few plot holes that seemed forced or overly predictable. It was interesting, I wanted to finish the story but by the last book I was just over it. The repetitive language was distracting but minor annoyance. The person performing the male vocals made Tavish’s voice so annoying, it sounded like a fake voice with a weird slow way of speaking and fake accent. It was probably one of the most annoying things.
If given the chance I would not read it again.

It seems as if the book was rushed to be finished. All in all, it was okay, but it wouldn't be a book that I would read again.

Again, it just seems as if the book was rushed to be finished. And I could definitely see that there was at least maybe 5 more chapters that could have been included. That would have made the book and story of the Characters, whole.
