Publisher's summary

“Vampires done right!”

Tired of the same old vampire story?

In the Human-Undead War world, toss out your crosses, holy water, and fire. Don’t bother bolting your door, or lining entrances to your home with garlic or salt — vampires don’t need an invitation, and none of that will deter them. They don’t sparkle. They don’t sleep in coffins. And they are no longer in hiding.

Dark Intentions

In 2041, vampires are discovered and humanity is thrust into a blood-soaked battle for supremacy.

Seven years pass and the Human-Undead War rages on. Brian Koltz, the lead scientist and negotiator for the Undead Relations Committee, believes he holds the solution to peaceful coexistence: the platelet mushroom, an accidental creation that produces human blood.

But after Brian befriends the Undead patriarch, Barnaby, the war intensifies and dark intentions are exposed. Can Brian forsake peace and undo a sinister plot before the world is plunged into darkness forever?

New take on Vampire Fiction. I think you will like

Overall, I was impressed with this story. I felt it needed little improvements, but nothing that will take away from the enjoyment of this Vampire War tale.
I'm glad I received this book for review. I enjoyed Lamont Ridgell's performance. You can tell he really gets into the roles. I'm looking forward to hearing his work in book 2. Lamont puts great emphasis where needed and really picks up the pace in the battle sequences to draw you in. Great work!
Ondrashek's depiction of the fight scenes and battle sequences is phenomenal. These battles reminded me of some of the great battle scenes in movies like Braveheart and Patriot. I mean if this was a movie, Let the Bodies Hit the Floor would be the music playing in the background. I was impressed with the character development, the new twist to Vampires as we know them, and the amount of action throughout. The ending was pretty much what you expect, but it is well depicted and leads you to want to continue the next book in the series.
