Publisher's summary

Now with an all-new bonus chapter - in the best-selling The House of Kennedy, “James Patterson applies his writerly skills to real-life history...re-telling the political clan’s rise and fall and rise again (and fall again) with novelistic style” (People).

The Kennedys have always been a family of charismatic adventurers, raised to take risks and excel, living by the dual family mottos: "To whom much is given, much is expected" and "Win at all costs". And they do - but at a price.

Across decades and generations, the Kennedys have occupied a unique place in the American imagination: charmed, cursed, at once familiar and unknowable. The House of Kennedy is a revealing, fascinating account of America's most storied family, as told by America's most trusted storyteller.

Critic reviews

"When I wrote my first novel after several nonfiction works about politics, James Patterson lovingly lambasted me for infringing on his thriller territory. Now I know how he feels as he crosses into political nonfiction with this juicy and entertaining look at a family that continues to wield power and influence. He's too good - it isn't fair!" (Jake Tapper, CNN anchor and author of The Hellfire Club)

Enlightening!

As a lifelong reader of JFK, ( I'M 51, btw;) I was quite surprised to discover some of the information that had not been repeated anywhere else that I have previously read.. I thought it would be a more tedious read, but I couldn't shut it down! 🎯I thought there couldn't be anything to surprise me about "The Clan of Kennedy" by now, but I stand corrected, and feel in good company as well!

Camelot

This is one of the most complete works on the entire family that I’ve ever read. I am enamored by the Kennedy family and often think how much more they could’ve done for our country had some of their lives been cut so tragically short. The audible edition is narrated well and makes the story even more inviting. I did not want to put it down and it did not disappoint.

Great Story.... but.....

Interested story. I like how the author sorta skipped around to make everyone’s story was told. I only have 2 complaints:
1) The narrator sound very robotic.
2) The music that’s played between every chapter is a little annoying. I know it’s only like 5 to 8 seconds of music but each time it drove me crazy!

Nothing New

If you've read more than one of the massive number of Kennedy biographies, you won't find anything new in this book.
The book flow is ok the narration is good.
I could have done without the music between chapters. Which is why the audio version ratings, overall and performance get 4 stars .. picky I know.

Very Interesting book

I thought this was a very good book. I love how the writers did not “sugar coat” the facts just laid it out non judgmental. Worth reading.

Wow

Joe Kennedy had a woman poisoned Bobby killed Marilyn Monroe. Ted killed the woman by drowning the cousin killed the teen girl with a golf club. How many more murders were the Kennedy’s responsible for.

Fantastic!

Loved everything about this book. I have always been fascinated with the Kennedys and have read many books about them. This was the most complete and done in almost a novel form. Highly recommend
