Enjoyable second installment

(Definitely read book 1 first - Donnybrook Goodbye. This series needs to be read in order.)
This installment is a bit more character-driven rather than the action-heavy first book. It’s again written from multiple perspectives, which gives both the world and the characters a lot of depth. The snarky humor remains, and the still badass but still flawed heroines continue to make me want to be friends with them IRL.
It definitely has some heavier/darker elements than the first book, but they serve the story and overall it still has a similar vibe as book 1. Just as entertaining as its predecessor. I’m anxiously awaiting the next book as this one ends… not on a cliffhanger exactly, but maybe “open ended” is a better term? All in all I really enjoyed this book too and hope more is coming soon from this author.
