About this listen

The highly anticipated sequel to A Demon in Silver, The Hangman's Gate continues the epic saga of the War of the Archons.

After uniting the bandit clans, the Iron Tusk has swept into Shengen and taken control of the empire. With an army behind him, he marches along the Skull Road, ready to lay waste to the lands in the west. The rag-tag defenders of Dunrun are all that stand in his way. With their country besieged on all sides, troubling rumors of a priestess amassing power in the North, and unnatural alliances to the south, no help is coming. Alone, they must hold back the god-like powers of the Iron Tusk, or see life as they know it come to an end.

I don't know it's really strange, I like this one, I liked it as a continuation from part one. I'm not sure how I feel about the story still, once again, its definitely entertaining and leaves me wondering what is going to happen next.

Ok maybe not that bad but the story constantly stalls to flash back to how a character got where they meet up with other characters. This happens several times and it's a bit jarring to the flow of the story. Once or twice would be ok but it seems to happen over and over again in book one and two.

I enjoyed the book a lot. I did feel like it bounced around from character scene to scene, so I had some trouble keeping up with who was who - especially in moments where there was a name change.

It will take you to the following series… first time I hear a series on audible… but since I like better books I guess I’ll stop here. But for those who like story telling and closing ur eyes to imagination and un phantom-able things go ahead..

This builds really well on the first book and the story really comes together. Looking forward to Book 3.

My only criticism is I found myself rewinding to understand which character I was tracking, but I loved the story and the narrator.
