About this listen

A hundred years ago, a man with a secret could travel a few hundred miles and give himself a new name and life story. No one would be any the wiser, as long as he didn’t give anyone a reason to start asking questions. These days, that’s not so easy, with everyone on social media and CCTV on every street corner. So Daniel Mackmain keeps his head down and keeps himself to himself.

But now a girl has been murdered, and the Derbyshire police are taking a closer look at a loner who travels from place to place, picking up work as he goes. Worse, Dan realises the murder involves the hidden world he was born into. When no one else can see the truth, who will see justice done?

A modern fantasy rooted in the ancient myths and folklore of the British Isles.

Enter the world of the Green Man,

The world of the Green Man is besieged by dark beings. The half human hair is confronted with two super natural murders. Can he balance between worlds? Will he find a place to stop his. rambling for a time.? Lovely scenery combined with likeable characters will carry you into this realm. Fun read!

Deep in the woods

It’s a great tale of an heroic figure and legendary creatures. A fun, well read tale full of adventures and at times very lovely passages.

Delightful for nature lovers

The plot is very engaging, I’ve found the main character endearing in his loneliness.
I’ve enjoyed the fact that sex isn’t use to patch up story weak points.
Hope there’s a second one, there’s a lot I want to know about the fantastic creatures in ancient lore.

Fun and Interesting

I like Daniel and I like the Green Man, and this book had a lot going on. My only complaint is when Daniel was in peril, fighting the Woose or the Worm, the build up was lengthy, then it was resolved so fast, I felt like I almost missed the resolve.

I have download book two, as I am enjoying The Green Man, and the narration is good for both books. Glad I found these books, and hope they continue
