Tessie's four-year-old son was attacked and killed by an alligator in the summer of 1991. A few months later, what she believes to be the same alligator appears in Tessie's backyard. A grief stricken trip into madness

This book explores trauma and loss in a way that most readers would never experience for themselves. I found it insightful to glimpse the madness that may ensue as a result of grief. The conclusion was unpredictable and thought provoking.
The reader’s performance was a convincing represention of her character.
