Fun Read

Packed with interesting trivia. I live in Texas so it may be more interesting to me than a non resident but there was a lot of trivia that will be interesting to all. For example stories on the invention of white out and Dr Pepper. There was a wide range of trivia, from famous people from Texas to interesting wildlife (camels, zebras and bats to name a few) to places of interest to visit. Recommend if you are looking for a fun read for the whole family.

Title says it all: It's a book about Texas

This is the 2nd book I've listened to from these authors, and I've greatly enjoyed their manner of telling history in a fun & informative way, and so far I've yet to catch a mistake. O'Neill certainly knows his stuff.

Recommended for anyone looking to learn a little bit more about the Lone Star state

Very Helpful and fun. Great listen on a car trip

As a soon to be texan this book was a big help to understand the history, culture and the things that make Texas unique. I learned :

Why they call it 6 flags
Bonnie and Clyde connection
What happened to Davey Crockett ... sort of LOL
and many other fascinating tidbits about the Lone Star state ( you do know why the call it that of course)

I was given the book by the author to review and it was a great help to myself and has helped me to feel more "Texan" at least in knowledge. I think listeners will like it

Intresting and fun

You dont have to be a super-fan of Texas to enjoy this book. It had some facts I already knew about Texas and many I didn't. I would recommend this to anyone who enjoys trivial facts and stories such as those found in Readers Digest or Uncle Jon's Bathroom Reader as well as anyone interested in Texas. I would like to see more books about other states.

Good book for road trips

Most people from Texas can tell you that Texas schools take Texas history very seriously. I started this book thinking I wouldn’t learn anything new but to my surprise there is quite a bit of Texas History and trivia in here that I hadn’t heard before along with some current an pop culture facts mixed in. My only complaint is the quiz section at the end of each chapter.... it made me feel like I was taking a test. At the same time I could see that part working well on a road trip with the kids. I was provided a copy of this audiobook for free at my request in exchange for an honest review.
