Publisher's summary

What if life isn't just a part of the universe? What if it determines the very structure of the universe itself?

The theory that blew your mind in Biocentrism and Beyond Biocentrism is back, with brand-new research revealing the startling truth about our existence.

What is consciousness? Why are we here? Where did it all come from - the laws of nature, the stars, the universe? Humans have been asking these questions forever, but science hasn't succeeded in providing many answers - until now. In The Grand Biocentric Design, Robert Lanza, one of Time magazine's "100 Most Influential People", is joined by theoretical physicist Matej Pavšic and astronomer Bob Berman to shed light on the big picture that has long eluded philosophers and scientists alike.

This engaging, mind-stretching exposition of how the history of physics has led us to biocentrism - the idea that life creates reality - takes listeners on a step-by-step adventure into the great science breakthroughs of the past centuries, from Newton to the weirdness of quantum theory, culminating in recent revelations that will challenge everything you think you know about our role in the universe.

This book offers the most complete explanation of the science behind biocentrism to date, delving into the origins of the memorable principles introduced in previous books in this series, as well as introducing new principles that complete the theory. The authors dive deep into topics including consciousness, time, and the evidence that our observations - or even knowledge in our minds - can affect how physical objects behave.

The Grand Biocentric Design is a one-of-a-kind, groundbreaking explanation of how the universe works and an exploration of the science behind the astounding fact that time, space, and reality itself all ultimately depend upon us.

Made very clear for general public like me

Was so impressed read about him on Wikipedia and now I’m even more impressed! Thank you for making this difficult theory something even I can understand. Well Done!

Totally refreshing and engrossing

Although I am still trying to wrap my head about Lanza’s words, I find myself intellectually, intuitively and emotionally y agreement with it.
I have my own little spin on biocentrism that I have begun to apply: using the Buddhist concept of “compassionate attention” to my act of observation. I am imbuing my observations of the universe with that concept to create a better world. Since as an observer I collapse the wavefront into a particular particle, I maintain that imbuing that observation with kindness creates a kinder universe. It is working for me. I am experiencing a kinder, better universe.
Thank you dear colleague (I am an Ophthalmologist) for this beautiful theory. It has brought together for me many things together in my life.

Easy to read

I could understand most of this, even though I'm not a scientist, mathematician, physicist, etc. The narrator was awesome. I will listen to, and read this book again!

Easy to follow and intellectually stimulating

I've been dabbling in pantheism and. The like recently, and had to give this a listen out of curiosity. It did not disappoint. I particularly enjoyed the scientific and philosophical backing to its arguments.

It's good, but it leaves you high and dry

I listened to this Audiobook to learn a synthesis of process philosophy with quantum physics and philosophy of mind. It helped me to integrate various ideas into one overall worldview.

A general criticism: Areas of scientific inquiry and historical events are glossed over. For example, the fine tuning of cosmological constants for the origins of life, anthropic principles, quantum mechanics. Lanza seems to want every mystery in the history of science to be handled by a new paradigm. This is both the reason to read this book, and the reason to keep your wits about you while doing so.

Well, that explains it…

I am not a scientist nor a philosopher, but this book has given me an intuitive experience of a very difficult to conceive set of ideas. Thank you for writing this.

Paradigm shifting is never easy to accept

How did we get here, what should we do now, and where are we going, are the 3 key questions all of us ask ourselves at some point. Quantum theory suggest that these questions are subjective, not objective as Einstein would have us believe. Einstein would have us believe that energy is the only thing that exists and everything can be reduced to energy.
Quantum theory would have us believe that the only thing that exists is consciousness free from the constraints of time Quantum theory would have us believed that the only thing that exist is consciousness free from the constraints of time and dimension. Existence is a muddled wave of energy that collapses once it is observed. Every Individual Individual consciousness creates a multiverse that is a subjective reality

The authors compelling arguments for biocentrism cannot be ignored.

As this book so clearly, and beautifully illustrates, you cannot take consciousness out of how reality is perceived and emerges. if you find the concepts reinforced in this book hard to imagine, try imagining the opposite to be true. without consciousness, what is left?

I found this book deeply comforting, knowing my place in the universe as a co-creator.

A Must Read

Must read for anyone with an interest in consciousness and reality. Basically anyone with a brain.
