Publisher's summary

Helena Pierce was used to death. Her life began as a tragically orphaned baby, raised by the small town cemetery caretaker. She grew up knowing that loss was just a part of life. After a chance meeting with the dark and mysterious Raphael one day while out digging a grave, Hel realizes maybe life has some good things to offer after all - until one awful evening changes everything, and Hel wakes up to the bright light of death.

Traumatized by being ripped away from the man she was falling for, and having to adjust to a whole new world, she manages to get a job as reaper... As in she digs up souls from the other side of the grave. Soren, her new boss, is cold and hardened to the suffering she's endured. To her surprise, the only source of kindness she can find is in the arms of a red headed vampire named Boudewijn.

Torn between trying to make this new life of death feel normal and longing for the love in her past, Hel tries to balance blossoming feelings toward someone new with working off her time to move on to the next phase of the afterlife. Will her soul ever rest in peace?

Amazing and unique

This is a one of a kind gem that MUST be top of your list. It’s not like anything I’ve read before and the characters were so far from typical. There’s not much to dislike here and I can’t wait for book 2! A new author to follow! Five glittery stars!

What a great story!

I reaaaally loved this read - Such a gripping story that instantly drew me in and only continued to hold my interest from start to finish! Would definitely recommend giving this book a read or a listen, you won’t regret it! I also really liked the narrator for this audio book, I felt that her voice was fitting for the theme and set the mood for the story quite well. 5/5 stars for me 🙂

Interesting

First of all I love Lessa Lamb narrating she always gives 100%. Now I'm new to this Author but I'm glad that I was given the chance to listen to this audiobook. I love the main character Hell because she was strong young women but not a bitch at all.

4.5 Stars

I’m new to Willie E. Dalton’s work, but am very pleasantly surprised to have fallen for these amazing characters in this story. Lessa Lamb is the perfect narrator for this story as well. She has a way of taking difficult characters and giving them light.
I’m was hesitant at the beginning of the story,, because it seemed so strange but once it starts going you are totally pulled in. I can’t wait to listen to the next book in the series!!

Reapers can’t be girls!

This is a wonderful start to a new series. We meet Helena and get to know her and her life. It’s a good life and she is happy. Until she get murdered. Now she is on the other side. Getting a new job and a new life.

I really enjoyed listening to this. I loved the alternate world this author has created. The characters are good. I loved her connection to Ray (dadish). Especially once she goes to the other side. Helena has an interesting job that drew me into the story. Her life as a reaper was tough to watch. She really struggled for a while. The ending was a shocker!

I listened to this on audio. Leesa Lamb did a wonderful job narrating. I can’t wait for book 2.

so I love the audio acting, quite well done. Also love the different perception of what death really is that's in the story line.

Captures me from the moment you see the title

The title first caught my eye, and made me question the book. Just as I read the intro before subscribtion, made me feel as if I was really living in the moment. The story line is intense- with many eventful happenings, easy to follow along with. The fear, the chills, the love, all of which you feel. Lessa, the narrator, truly captures you with her voice and matched what I would assume Helena would truly sound like, if I met her in person.
Willie Dalton captured me from the moment I seen the title, the cover, and then trapped me in and indulged my every moment from start to finish, enjoying Lessa Lamb’s voice from start to finish.

This book is a high recommendation. Even for anyone who may not be into sitting and reading. It kept me with a very clear imagination as I worked through the chapters. I’ve enjoyed it so much- I purchased the paperbacks to add to my rather empty bookshelf. And have shared this with several friends who love an amazing thriller.

You will not be disappointed. Keep your mind open, and enjoy as it takes you to a very special and realistic envisioning experience.

Wether audible or paperback, you’re sure to love The Girl Who Digs Graves.
