About this listen
Penguin presents the unabridged, downloadable audiobook edition of The Future of the Mind by Michio Kaku, the international best-selling author of Physics of the Impossible. Read by the actor Feodor Chin.
Recording memories, mind reading, videotaping our dreams, mind control, avatars, and telekinesis - no longer are these feats of the mind solely the province of overheated science fiction. As Michio Kaku reveals, not only are they possible, but with the latest advances in brain science and recent astonishing breakthroughs in technology, they already exist.
In The Future of the Mind, the New York Times best-selling author takes us on a stunning, provocative and exhilarating tour of the top laboratories around the world to meet the scientists who are already revolutionising the way we think about the brain - and ourselves.

Good book. A bit basic.
A great book, though I find it a bit basic at some points. I am an avid science reader thiugh and that might be the reason why. Nevertheless I enjoyed it pretty much.
P.S. Listening to a book, rather than actually reading it was a new experience to me and I find it very different. It is not for everybody for sure.

Information exposed easily for everyone
As the other books from Professor Kaku, this one is also very accessible, with information being layd out in an easy to understand way. And with a very dynamic and interesting information through all the book.

A good listen!
A good listen, but somehow lacks structure, with long digressions into the sci-fi culture. Worth a listen on a long flight.

Good Guide to History of the Mind
If you could sum up The Future of the Mind in three words, what would they be?
Geeky, intellectually satisfying.
What did you like best about this story?
The wholeness of it. Instead of just fact dropping, Michio Kaku guides you through a tour of scientifically accurate history of our mind.
Have you listened to any of Feodor Chin’s other performances before? How does this one compare?
I have not, but this is a good listen. At times my brain played tricks and I thought it was Michio Kaku narrating it, not Feodor Chin.
If you were to make a film of this book, what would the tag line be?
"Telling the future by recounting the past".
I'm rubbish at this.
Any additional comments?
I bought this audiobook because I'm a fan of Michio Kaku. If you love science, especially in regards of bio-physic, you will love this.

Mind-opening
Kaku never disappoints. He tackles immensely complicated issues with grace, simplicity and wit so that us mortals can marvel at the wonders of science, the Universe and in this case - our own minds.
It opens new horizons to think about when considering yourself, your daily life and your "role" in the whole reality. If these "predictions" are even slightly accurate, the future will be a time of grandeur.

Good Book....worth listening
Is there anything you would change about this book?
The start of the book is too good and it explained the background of the subject, evolution of human mind and wonderful theories of the mind very well, however, there is too much physics blended into the subject. Many times, you feel, as if you are listening a physics book. I think, author can bring in more about details and explanation of sub conscious mind, hypnotism etc.
What was your reaction to the ending? (No spoilers please!)
I was satisfied but End was too much physics.
What aspect of Feodor Chin’s performance would you have changed?
Everything was fine.
If this book were a movie would you go see it?
Yes

Great story, abysmal narration
The content was extremely thought provoking however the narration was absolutely terrible and made listening most unpleasant. A great injustice to the author and I strongly suggest an alternative reader.
