Super Duper Amazing
Crystal, you truly know how capture your reader’s attention. The relationship between Daisy, her father, brother Oliver and BFF Luna paint a true picture of how Daisy sees herself and her family. But the chemistry and friendship she has with Holden make the book hard to put down. The courage it took for her to tell Holden about her eating disorder was real and heart warming. Better yet was his reaction. I listened to this book until the wee hours of the morning.

Sweet and broken
I was given a copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.
This book has some triggers, just be warned. It is a first love, angsty baggage and making life work for you sort of book. It could easily be someone’s real life. I enjoyed the book. I really love the narrators! Overall it is a wonderful heartbreakingly sweet love story, with a bit of spice thrown in (maybe a dash more than a bit).

The First Taste is always the sweetest...
Crystal Kaswell knows how to write a romance. I just loved Holden and Daisy's story. Crystal writes stories that are so believable and brings so many real life issues to life. I love a story that gives a reader so many emotions and The First Taste did not disappoint.
The audio book made this story 100 times better to read (if that is even possible). Kia and Wen and such amazing narrators. I LOVE the due narration it make the book flow from one chapter to the next so effortlessly. Definitely a re-read ( or re-listen) for many years to come. Can wait for what Crystal (& Kia/Wen) releases next. 5 stars all the way!!

The First Taste Melts Your Ears
The First Taste is a brothers best friend romance told in dual pov enraptured in forbidden fruit. A angsty lovestory between a tattoo artist and a book warm. The characters are well fleshed out and given depth to their characteristics. The writing style is balanced. This author tackles topics that are not easy to discuss and handles them with care. Its written in a way that could be someone's real life. A entertaining journey to a lovestory.
Narators Kai Kennicott, Wen Ross duet naration performance hit the chemistry out of the park. These two are a perfect pair. Everything is insync and flows smoothly and consistently. Kai's sweet inflection fits Daisy's personality perfectly. Wen Ross exhuberates confidence and experience with his inflection of Holden. A entertaining experience.

Brilliant Story & Narration🎧 Amazingly Beautiful!
I loved everything about this book, from Crystal Kaswell’s wonderful writing style to the fantastic storylines and characters she created to Kai Kennicott & Wen Ross’ fabulous narration. This is truly a beautiful, heartfelt story, it grabbed my attention right from the start and held it captive straight to the end. Both the story and characters are realistic, easy to relate to and connect with. I adored both lead characters, Holden Ballard and Daisy Flynn, each have their own issues, broken in their own ways. Daisy battles with her own inner demons, I loved how her family was there to support her. Daisy has secretly crushed on Holden, her older brother’s best friend for a while, but she has never been brave to act on her feelings. Holden, a player with a commitment phobia and Daisy is off limits because he would never jeopardize his friendship with Oliver. Daisy’s treats her and her friend to a paid vacation in Mexico, her brother Oliver goes to supervise and asks Holden to go too. Daisy will be leaving to go to college soon and she wants to rid of her virginity and lack of sexual experience and she knows who she wants to help her, Holden. She even gets her friend Luna in on it, she will distract Oliver so she has some alone time with Holden. I loved how everything plays out in this book, I also love how the story is told, the author takes you inside the heads of each character so we hear both the spoken dialogue as well as the unspoken inner dialogue. At times I wanted to yell, say it please tell him him and/or her, let them know, but Crystal Kaswell is brilliant at what she does and all comes in due time. This book is so much more that a forbidden/taboo relationship, while the chemistry between Holden and Daisy was electric they also clicked and they built a friendship like no other. I can not give this book enough praise, in addition to a great romance it touches on some some real life subject matters and as someone who is familiar what Daisy went thru I must say it was all kept real and was superbly done. Crystal Kaswell, thank you for this amazingly beautiful story and the emotional journey and rollercoaster ride.
Kai Kennicott and Wen Ross are perfectly casted to bring this story and its characters to life. These are two talented narrators and their duet performance enhances this awesome story to another level of awesomeness. Their portrayal of the characters is perfection, they truly grasp their characters persona, bring out all their emotions which is heard in their performance. They are entertaining storytellers and a pleasure to listen to. Thank you for another fabulous listen🎧

Loved Holden and Daisy
I really enjoyed listening to Daisy and Holden’s journey. Daisy finally getting what she always wanted and Holden realizing he probably wanted Daisy all along. Daisy and Holden have interesting characteristics that make them lovable. Looking forward to reading Oliver and Luna’s story, Kai
And Wen always do a wonderful job narrating. I received a copy of this audiobook in exchange for an honest review."
